You could hear the whole nation groaning and sighing when Vaughan decided to bring Mahmood back into the attack midway through the Aussie innings after the rest of the bowlers had done a solid job restricting Australia's runs and even given us a chance, Mahmood was promptly spanked for several boundaries, game over.

Frankly I sighed a sigh of relief when Mahmood came on....he really wasn't up to the job for this match.

I was a bit nervious after Haydos went but my faith was promptly restored by Pontings fantastic committment and sterling knock, not glamourous but got the job done...
