I tried out the East Stand as opposed to the wsu (season ticket) and i must say that the North Stand sounded brill.

Preferred the view also. Wish i could swap my ticket lol

prefered the view of the game or the stadium out of interest?

Was ok, not great though. Looked a different crowd to the weekend in N1A.

I hardly heard the gills fans so I don't think the sound travels end to end unless it's really loud.

Anyone who remembers the Goldstone will recall that apart from the North Stand there was rarely any other noise. The Amex is excellant so far.

wsu was quite quiet tonight, but it was still pretty good, the lady next to me practically whispered the songs which was nice ;). the north sounded terrific btw

I'm towards the south end of the East Stand and at the beginning of the game the noise was amazing!
At times the North stand didn't sound like they were doing much but the Gills fans were pretty loud at times - I think peeps are right when they say that the sound doesn't carry too well North - South, but when both North & West are going for it, it is very loud!

I was shouting my head off most of the time (got a sore throat now!), much to the amusement of some kids in the vicinity, but there were a few groups of people around me that were chanting, but few songs. Plus there were quite a lot of empty seats in my part of the East, so that didn't help.

Hope that changes; the more noise the better! :)

The guy next to me in the north stand was texting the whole time and didn't join in once. Over looked what he was texting, and it was nothing but moans. I havent sat next to the same people once yet, thankfully the best bunch were Saturday seeing as they're going to be next to me all season. Lots of foreign students near were i was.

Atmosphere will be better against Blackpool. Don't forget were all trying to gel together still.

I'm wsu st holder but was in wsl tonight with the wife.every time I got up whether to sing or to see an exciting passage of play all I heard was sit down.
What a bunch of miserable bastards.
At least I have learned that I will never enter the wsl again

Didn't hear them sing that from the north!

Atmosphere wasn't amazing.... just the same 4\5 songs over and over really
I personally LOVE the signing of "stand up if you hate Palace" four times a game.

But it was fairly noisy, I thought. Worse than Doncaster (obviously), but a lot better than Spurs.

I cant wait to hear a full away stand, most sides are going to fill that stand and create a really good atmosphere which should get the West and North Stands singing at the top of there voices.

Gillingham did a pretty good job tonight i thought.

Apart from my mates there was no one around me who were there on Saturday.
Different crowd= Different atmo.
I wish we'd get a few more songs going though, We tried getting an Ashley Barnes song going & a couple of others going just to be drowned out by albi-yawn & gosbts.

The ultras if they're going to be the songleaders in the north stand need to vary it a bit look how the one song has caught on already

There were some right divs near me that kept starting that, not sure why everyone kept joining in. Think they were some of the kiddie crew ex-H blockers as they were singing that pathetic "wheels on your house" song as well, a favourite staple of H block.

Stand up if you hate Palace I don't mind because I see it as an attempt to get the whole stand going. The St Pauli chant every 5 minutes is just overkill.

What made me laugh were the day trippers who turned up 20 mins late then somehow ended up In north and didn't have seats. Had to be escorted to the wsl!!
