The league cup still has prestige ..... unlike Palace.

Absolute cack - the gates are awful and no-one cares. Apart from BHA and small clubs like them.

All the best tonight in your prestigious cup tie.

I think your right Paulie, Our attendance of about 3400 tonight will prove that. Its an awfully pointless competition.

Apart from if we beat Boston and AN Other side.
Then get Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd in the 3rd round

That would be totally pointless wouldn't it

It would give us hundreds of thousands of pounds

Hundreds of thousands of pounds? Your having a laugh aren't you?

No chance any of those teams would sell out against us.

We got several hundred grand from the spurs game with a gate of 35,000

I think Man Utd or Arse would comfortably get more than that

The key difference between the spurs game is that it was FA cup with the first team playing. As appossed to seeing the under 14's and a few reserves.

Thats the main difference IMO. Take a look at when we played Boro in the second round a few years ago, how many did they have?

Boro are a tin pot club, they didn't even sell out their UEFA cup semi final home leg

Maybe true, But can you honestly see Chelsea or Man U or Arsenal seeling out to watch the reserve team play us? I cant see it.

Maybe not sell out but i would wager a few quid that there would be less empty seats than full by some distance

Those are the only games that the tag along supporters can get to

Arsenal got 36,000 to see their reserves play Reading at Highbury, it would be an oppurtunity to go to the new stadium for their fans, they'd get at least that. And even when Man U don't sell out they get massive crowds.

It would be well worth it in financial terms getting either of those clubs.

True, Still they will most likely but cut price tickets and therefore we willg et less that way aswell.

Anyway we probably wont win 2 games and if we do we most likely wont get one of the big 3!

It seems that your reserves have a fair bit of experience!

Flinders, Lawrence, Ward, Hudson, Borrowdale, Watson, Hughes, Reich (Spence 78), Freedman, Macken (Black 78), Morrison.
Subs Not Used: Speroni, Fray, Sheringham.

5 of that side haven't played 1st team football this season, and judging by last night's performance they wont be again for a while!

That team should have walked this game and it appears we lost it to the better team on the night. Well done County.

Reich, Black, Ward. Were awful by all accounts. 4,481 I wasn`t expecting more than that. How much were the tickets £20.00 I suspect

Yep utterly ridiculous for a first round Carling Cup match against a League 2 side.

However County deserved their win, fair play to them

£10.00 Max IMO. SJ needs to sort this out and fast.
