Par 4: could have been a birdie, could easily have been a bogey three - tricky word

I got the Welsh one in four. It was sheer guesswork, by putting in some letters that hadn't been used. I looked the word up in the dictionary and it means "to finger". You can tell that's not been put through the NYT word sieve

Me too. So many options and I only lucked out with the last 50:50 guess or I’d have registered my first failure.
My wife and I often agree on the first word then work independently from there - it adds a bit of competition! This morning I finished on 6 while she guessed right on her second line! Boooooo……..
