we have a weekly competition in the office, to predict results of a set of matches - and there is a 'cryptic' tie-breaker.

I think he's been imbibing too freely this week, 'cos it makes no sense at all... any ideas which match he is likely to be talking about?

"Follow the stuttering BMW in your 'f'ing car from Norwich!! But how many will there be in total?"

clues in the past have included club sponsors, road numbers, ground names, local businesses, nicknames etc.. and usually we are looking for a crowd number.

Come on guys... help!

Any vague clues you can make out?? I know Lotus are not far from Norwich... but it hasn't helped.

We are looking for the answer to the cryptic, or possibly just plain stupid, question:

"Follow the stuttering BMW in your 'f'ing car from Norwich!! But how many will there be in total?"

The clue to the answer is in the question!
It looks likely to be the number in the crowd at one of the aforementioned fixtures this weekend.

BMW sold production of the land rover to Ford so could be

Coventry v WatFORD (West Midlands?)
Norwich v BradFORD (bit too obvious)

I like the way you're thinking Yorkie, but it usually works about a bit more fully than that...

Highfield Rd - Vicarage Rd.

It does seem to point to the Coventry v Watford fixture

Surely Cov V Watford : I assume the car link is something to do with Lotus sponsoring Norwich and Subaru sponsoring Coventry

Not sure though always been crap at these kind of things.

Tenuous - but try this:

Stuttering BMW. 'Stuttering' in cryptic clues can mean anagram.

BMW + Norwich + Oil beast ('f'ing car) = anagram of West Bromwich Albion

How many will be at the game? WalsALL?

West Bromwich Albion v Walsall (this Friday night)

** Cringe **
