The day Maggie dies NSC will see the biggest binfest in it's history.

It will result in 4 permanent bans (you'll be surprised when you find out who!) and 1 death threat (via post).

certainly would be unsuitable for miners - she put enough of them out of work after all

as for minors - well those of us old enough to remember the milk snatcher would vouch for not allowing kids anywhere near her

Milk snatcher, Did you ever have to drink that hermogenised long life, shite. Left outside in the summer term to bake in the sun until about 11am when it was wheeled in and forced down our throats. If there is ONE thing every child of the 70's should be thankful to her for it was getting rid of that particular torture.

Yes she did go too far with some privatisations (the railway may have been one) but any investment came straight out of our pockets and they all made substantial losses even though they felt no cheaper than today.

As for the miners, yes a lot of that was wrong, but history shows that the unions were trying to bring down an elected government through industrial action etc. It was the battlefield chosen by both the Unions and the Tories to fight the battle that had to happen, it was terrible for the miners caught in the middle. Plenty of industrial action, hard times and arrogant government has come from both sides of the spectrum, before and after Thatcher.

There won't be a massive binfest as the street parties will need to be organised.

Not at all, no.

NSC will be closed for at least a week out of respect for the passing of a great former leader of this country.

Let's hope it doesn't clash with the new fixtures or Falmer!

Actually, you realise that every time NSC goes down in future, people will be wondering if Thatcher has died!

Right or wrong - she had balls [as the Argies found out to their cost]
Iron Lady nickname says it all.
Didn't she negotiate a massive rebate friom the EU too?
I believe that what she did was for the best for our country - just that it impacted so many in a majorly way she is disliked by so many.
I think the current government, who are also having to make painful choices for the good of the nation, will be upsetting a high proportion of folk too. History repeats?

You could install a septic tank in your garden, collect the water off your roof into a tank and pump it into your water supply pipes.

Dunno if this would work durin really bad freezing wintery conditions.

That's what I call a TOP TIP. I will sort it out at the weekend! (After the football, of course)

No, the military stepped in and saved her skin after her government's massive f*ck up that let the Argentinians walk in.

She then (of course) took all the credit.

All I can say is at least she cleaned her mess up.

It's also been revealed that she opposed the reunification of Germany. So much for wanting the dismantling of the old communist bloc.

That's no revelation, it was generally well known at the time, you need to read up a bit on her reasons behind that. And it had nothing to do with the dismantling of the USSR and everything to do with history repeating itself. Genuine concerns that more than one head of state shared.
