That piece was supposed to be match report. What he said about Dick Knight was opinion and a stupid, ill founded, irrelevant opinion at that. He is a sports journalist, not a columnist or a poster on NSC and his articles should reflect that.

He's the Albion correspondent on the main local paper in the area, why should that not entitle him to making a few observations beyond simple line-ups, goal times, assists, etc?

The virulence - petulance? - of these threads is quite something indeed - what power do you really believe/fear he has? Or if his views are so ridiculously contemptuous, why not just leave them as is?
That is, views. Everyone's allowed 'em.

It has been rumoured on here (by people who know people) that DK actively encouraged Coppell to go to Reading because it meant getting compensation money.

Have a look at todays argus, theres 2 articles about the albion

All of it is very positive about the albion - its really strange
- Praise about Bertin
- Praise about the number of away fans
- Praise about the vocal support
- Praise about the town and club
- Praise that fans are snapping up tickets for Forest (600 left)
- Praise that fans are snapping up tickets for Gillingham (500 sold)
- Points out fans may sell out withdean for the 1st time

Start to wonder why everything has a positive spin on things, then you realise that Andy Naylor had nothing to do with either article. Both articles written by Brian Owen

Theres no pop at the board, theres no mention of McGhee, theres lots of quotes from the club, all the facts and views have a positive angle to them

I don't agree 100% with what Andy said, but some nails were hit on heads. He did say that some not all fans were questioning DK, and a trawl through NSC reflects that (although personally I think such people have short memories and no knowledge of finance or planning procedures).

DK has made mistakes in the last ten years, but then so have we all.
