After reading all this negativity on the board I thought it might be worth trying to get something good on here for a change!

So im sure this has been done before but whats your favourite albion game?

As I havent been following the Albion as long as most on here mine is probably the Brighton V Swindon play-off final second leg.

Yes, It was utter shite. I dont think it was as much the entire game but more the last 5 minutes and the scenes of celebration after. I dont think ive ever felt as good after a football game in my life.

Quality of football wise at Withdean.....(Too many games otherwise!)

An unusual choice - one of my favourites of the Withdean years was when we mullered Watford, playing sexy football. I truly believed we deserved to stay in the Championship that day. Then someone heard on their radio that Palace had scored against Stoke. The stand erupted and I had never heard such noise at Withdean before.

Alas, it was not to be, but definitely my favourite at Withdean when we played well.

Goldstone era......1-1 vs Man Utd in the League Cup. First time I had seen a big club play us.

1983 FA Cup Final....... 2-2

Brighton 2- 1 Ipswich..... when Wilkins scored the free-kick in the last minute and Perry saved a penalty.

Brighton 7 - 0 Walsall..... all goals in 2nd half... Ward 4, Mellor 3

Brighton 1- 0 Forest ...... Gary Williams, 30 yarder on Match of the Day

Play-off final, poor game, but what an atmosphere

I could go on all day, we're lucky to support a great club.....!

Albion v Wolves 1969 2-3 33 000
Albion v Derby 1976 1-1 34 000
Albion v Walsall 1976 7-0 second best in first half and then.......
Albion v Rochdale 1972 1-1 34 000 and the first promotion I saw.

has to be evening games before a huge crowd for me.

First game back in Brighton in 99: Albion 6 v 0 Mansfield

Beating Newcastle 3-1 at St James Park to get promoted to the old Div 1

Boxing Day 79, beating Palace 3-0

Beating Bury away 2-0 when Zamora chipped their keeper from about 30 yards

Drawing 1-1 against Rochdale to get promoted in 72. Game wasn't much but great atmosphere

This is not easy - there are far too many

Spurs 0 - BHA 1 from about 1980ish

West Ham 0 - BHA 1 (Butters)

Palace 0 - BHA 1 (McShane 78)

BHA 3 - Sheff Weds 2 (1977 to gain promotion)

BHA 5-0 Hartlepool (Fans United) : Quality performance, seem to remember Maskell having one disallowed on top of his hat-trick!

BHA 1-0 Bristol City (Play-Off Final) : Not a great game but what a day.

Gillingham 0-1 BHA (My first away win) : and it was a long time coming!

Palace 0-1 BHA : Unbelievable. What a night, what a performance.

Thinking about the Palace game last season probably does beat Swindon, Mainly because I ended up with Hendo's gloves.

Liverpool 1 ALBION 2 (FA Cup Round 5, 1983)
Palace 0 ALBION 3 (1981, we won last 4 games of season to avoid relegation, and help send down the team of the 80's)
Grimsby 2 ALBION 4 (1985. two down with 12 minutes to go, needed to win to have an outside chance of play-offs in last away game of season on a Tuesday night in Cleethorpes. All of a sudden 4 goals from nowhere)
Blackpool 1 ALBION 3 (1988, John Crumplin 35 yard HOWITZER that transformed him from laughing stock to LEGEND)
Bury 0 ALBION 2 (2001, BZ with the most sublime goal I have ever seen a player in the stripes score)
