Bertin, who is described as a tough-tackling hardworking midfielder with an eye for a pass, said, "I am happy to sign for Brighton and I want to help the team develop.

"I think my style of play will suit the English game more - in France the referee always blows his whistle when I make tackles!

"I always wanted to play in England because of the fighting spirit and the bigger crowds. You have more supporters in England than in France."

wherever the money is
"He is going to add to the midfield area which has already been quite strong for us."

Since when has our midfield been strong:nono: :nono: :nono: We need a tought tackler in the middle of the park as it will free up Hammond who plays so much better when he is an attacking force instead of a defensive one.

Albion chairman Dick Knight said, "Alexis was team captain of Le Havre and has played well over 100 league games, many in the French equivalent of the Premier League. It was a hard negotiation and I'm very pleased we have signed him."

Dick Knight SPEAKS, it must be serious!
