This saturday we welome to the studio our special guest Mr John Vinnicombe ( former sports editor of the argus during the years in the top flight)

He promises to be a facinating guest who was there when the club was at its peak.

If you have any questions for John please post them here or email us at thealbionroar@yahoo.co.uk

Cheers

Ady

I played cricket with John's son Bob for many many years Kemp Town in the Brighton League ( and his grandson who was a cracking little spin bowler)

We all used to reminiss (sp) over pints after cricket games. Give him my regards please

Im looking forward to seeing if JV still looks like Alan Whicker

As listeners won't be able to make this call, I hope you will confirm to us either way.

Just wanted to say how much I love John's books 'Up, Up and Away' and 'Super Seagulls' covering the 1978/79 and 1979/80 seasons. I fondly remember getting those books out of the library when I was a child.

Were there any plans for a book for 1980/81? Lots of people say the feeling of euphoria around the Albion went that season. What's John's take on what happened?
