Very much so i would have thought. Especially as where this accident happened there is a proper cycle lane beside the road!!

Brain dead MUG SHEEP
The cyclist killed in an accident on the A23 yesterday has been named.
Marie Vesco, 19, died at the scene after a collision involving two silver Ford vehicles on the southbound carriageway.
The French student had been cycling with a group of friends to join a protest in Brighton against weapons manufacturer EDO.
advertisementMore than a dozen police cars and four fire engines were called to the scene near the Hickstead junction, by Burgess Hill soon after 3.45pm.
One minute's silence was held before the protest.

She can't have been cycling to join it, the march started WAY before that. The march past my window overlooking Lewes Road at about half 12. It was pretty much over by 4.

Read Collar Feelers post on page 1. Looks like there was a seperate group of cyclists trying to bring the A23 to a standstill!!!
