Marillion - not at all one hit heroes - hits include Lavender, Market Square Heroes, Garden Party, Assassing, Punch and Judy, Incommunicado

... all top 30 and I think there were more...

Marillion??FFS,I think they just released their 15th studio album.

I love Black Box Recorder!

The album that comes from is excellent. Dark and twisted.

Got in to then on hearing the track "Andrew Ridgely" on a freebie compilation album - clever lyrics and I love her "non singing" way of singing.

...And my one hit wonder would be "Echo Beach" by Martha and the Muffins.

Just found this, as seen on Saturday Superstore I seem to recall. God bless YouTube

I think I was about the same age as the girl singing when this came out, and can cheerfully say I would have probably punched her if I'd ever come across her at school :lolol:

Probably the same people who bought this...

I was going to put that, then I had a sneaky and rather embarrassed recollection that he may have had another hit, as I'm sure he must have released the theme from Heartbeat (the Buddy Holly song).

Anyway, the 80s were pretty special for releasing appalling TV theme tunes, as I'm pretty sure some woman also did a version of the Howards Way music too, with lyrics

Brett, there may be some horrors in there but I have a feeling at least one of them will be on my iPod by lunchtime :lolol:

Already have Camouflage by Stan Ridgway, which is a CLASSIC :lolol:

worst bit is, I thought I posted it on the songs from your youth thread, and they ended up on here. Funnily enough, they fit into both catagories, now I think of it.

There is NOTHING wrong with any of those CHOOOOOOONS, and you will be sining them at the top of your voice, when your ipod does the right thing!
