A thread of splendid Falmer graffiti

I noticed in walking around the Falmer site today what a magnificent and tempting opportunity the blue perimeter hoardings appear to be offering the Albion community to express their profound- and sometimes less so- thoughts. In a strictly chalk-only, non-permanent, definitely-not-criminal-damage sort of way.

So by way of a change from the usual stadium-porn of girders, arches and concrete, please enjoy some moments of Albion wisdom (and chalk genitalia) from the fans, by the fans and for the fans.

My favourite was "chelsea champions 2010" :wozza:

Which in fairness probably sums up most football 'fans' in Sussex at the moment. Though you'd have good money on whoever chalked it on being at the first few games at Falmer...

What do you mean by that then ??? What's wrong with armchair fans parading round Brighton in their shirts on matchdays. In my case I just love Arsenal. As previously stated, I watch home games on the box in my house and away games down the pub. With the introduction of watching games in 3D games is nothing short of exceptional, I save that thrill for cup games only. The 3D specs make me so close to the action and to my boy Cesc I could almost kiss him.

It's particularly entertaining when the graffiti has evidently been altered by a later visitor.

The one that reads "Seagulls till i bloody die" looked very much like the first four letters were originally SHAG, if you examine it closely enough (randomly writing SHAG- Tourette's graffiti?).

That Brewery Tap one has clearly had "IS SHIT" written on there previously.

While the one expressing the hope that Archer/Stanley/Bellotti would diet....well let's just say I didn't think I could publish it in its original form, for fear of criminal charges winging their way from Bath, so a strategic letter T was added to the end to make it more palatable :lolol:

Bloody hooligan.

:lolol:

Panic not, if the weather in Brighton is anything like it is eight miles north, all his merry bugles and gay hearts will be washed away within the hour

I think as a child, his mother keenly encouraged his creative side, and that still manifests itself even now
