A mosaic saying "f*** you cutress", made out of all our old kits of something, the f*** you cutress bit is the important point

So we have £75,000 to use for public art at Falmer. A massive statue perhaps? A mosaic?
Who do you want to see IMMORTALISED at the Community Stadium @ Falmer Sponsored by………

It has to be better than Southamptons effort of Ted Bates too

None of the players.

I know I keep banging on about my mosaic idea, but why waste this £75,000 'fund' on art at Falmer, when we, the fans, can pay to be a part of an Albion mosaic that celebrates the FANS as well as the players?

Giant Albion mosaic at Falmer?! - North Stand Chat

Let's spend the £75K on something else.

statue at falmer

The man most deserving of being remembered at Falmer is John Jackson who founded the club and now currently lies in an unmarked grave in the cemetery off Hartingon Road. Maybe even the ground should be named after him.

A statue of a boyfriend with the caption, "Yes, I'm well aware of his whereabouts" should pretty much silence the away support.

I'm behind you!
Billy Lane should be on that list. He was far too important and had such an impact in the Albion's history to be merely labeled 'Other.'

If I ever win the lottery in a big way, I will seek permission to erect a large bronze outside the new stadium based on the picture that launched the original 'use your post code' campaign. The photo shot was of Peter Ward, Gerry Fell and Sammy Morgan during an Albion game.

I would call the statue, 'Where's the Goldstone Ground gone.' If somebody is able to post a copy of that picture on this thread, I'm sure that you will see where I'm coming from.

Leg out of the bed
Perhaps we could get Damien Hirst to knock up a bit of Modern art called, 'Heads of Archer, Bellotti and Stanley preserved in a tank of formaldehyde'.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Virtually impossible to select just one statue as there have been so many contributors that have either saved us or put us on the map.

I assume the £75k does not have to be spent, solely, at Falmer? I would like some sort of monument reminding the inner town folk that we are just a bus/train ride away.
