It is not when the majority were spent in a league that we were clearly not ready for.
In my opinion, the problem under McGhee was not necessarily the number of defeats - most of us realistic fans know and appreciate that we're up against it whoever we have in charge until this Falmer saga is finally won - but my biggest concern was the manner of many of his defeats. Yes, last season and this, we're up against massive clubs with millions more to spend, but losing without a fight is NOT acceptable...and under McGhee the lads have far too often looked like they haven't had the desire - and that costs nothing. His bizarre tactics and using players constantly out of position cannot have helped, and his man-mangement problems would no doubt have put off potential signings before the window closed.
Time for a fresh start and some renewed belief for players and fans alike. Let's get the bums back on seats and all start to pull in the same direction again...

Ludicrous to loook at his wins record. Few managers would have done much better than that given the lack of resources.
He got us into a division we shouldn't have been in, and kept us there a year longer than should have been possible.

Well we actually drew the first game 2-2. I would say that that probably tops winning a League 1 play-off final against Bristol City. But like you say. Each to their own.

yeah theres nothing like losing 4-0 in a replay..Yes the championship seasons were quality..but you cant beat a play-off final.
