I’m claiming an assist on that one. Went downstairs for a smoke [emoji23]

Does it look like it will be a long delay? Or just a prolonged shower?

According to BBC (Google it ?) covers coming off and play will be extended beyond 15:00hrs

Another shower started as they removed the covers

154/6 Stokes strikes in his second over. Night watchman Nortje falls to his 136th ball faced - great effort, that

It is now looking liukely that they will avoid the follow oin and thus force the game to a draw.

Looking at the game so far it's more likely that with a new ball used for just 3 balls we will mop up their tail and England won't enforce the follow on.

I'd be staggered if we don't enforce the follow on. 5 man attack with two decent part time spinners we'd almost certainly get them back in with weather still looming.

Two uninterrupted days and we should win this.

What a start!! STUMPS flying at both ends... and de Kock is OUT!! :clap2:

208-8

82.6 Broad to Philander, OUT, timber! Straight through him! Length ball, bit of nip back in off the surface as Philander looks to unfurl a crunching drive through the off side, and he sees it fly through the gate into his off stump! Big early breakthrough for England as the stump goes cartwheeling

VD Philander b Broad 27 (61b 5x4 0x6) SR: 44.26

83.5 Curran to de Kock, OUT, straight through him! England have two in the first two overs of the day! A fraction full of a length, just a hint of nibble back in again, another loose shot from de Kock and it bursts through his wafty push to hit the top of middle!

Q de Kock b Curran 63 (139b 9x4 0x6) SR: 45.32

South Africa 209 all out

A 3rd wicket for Broad... in a stunning half hour for England and a shocker for South Africa.

86.4 Broad to Rabada, OUT, chipped in the air, straight to Wood at mid-off, and South Africa have lost four wickets for one run this morning! Tame shot from Rabada, driven uppishly straight into the hands, and this has been an abject start to the day from South Africa

K Rabada c Wood b Broad 1 (15m 8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 12.50

England leading by 290

Bowlers are fresh and tails up.

Surely the follow on is coming.
