No Brian Bromley or Bertie Lutton are they omitted as they both later signed permanent deals with the club? but so did Roberts and Zamora.

Worst Albion player EVER. And I do mean EVER. And I don't expect any player in the future to EVER be as bad. I suspect my deceased one legged Grandfather would have been more effective.

If you don't count people who signed for us, I'd plump for Keown, Dickov, Sidwell, Junior Lewis, who was bloody good in our Taylor promotion season, and McShane. Cotterill and Moulden are worth a mention too.
I saw Brian Dear score a cracking goal for us against, I think, Watford. I thought that we could prise him away from West Ham and have a good little player. Sadly, the "little" was way out - he was too fond of beer, burgers or biscuits (or all three) and resembling Warren Aspinall after an eating contest.

Of the current crop the list appeared to miss Ashley Barnes and Gary Dicker.
Don't think Zamora can be beaten as our best loan signing although in terms of loanees who never signed permanently (to date anyway) I suspect LuaLua may be up there

We paid a whopping big fee (£25,000 - which was a lot in those days) to buy Bertie Lutton. If only we'd had him on loan we could have sent him back..................................................
