I seem to recall there were some rumours about his dedication to training?
Not sure if any truth in that, but if so, I doubt De Zerbi would take to him.
I seem to recall an ITK poster saying that Biss was known to be frequently late to training with us.
No idea if this is true or not, but it may be that he is having to adjust to a different coaching regime.
Not sure I agree with that tbh. I seem to remember him being pretty immersed in the club.
I suspect the events of last October, affected the dynamics of that relationship, quite a lot.
Regardless of what did/didn't occur, the affection between player/club/fans definitely diminished for a few...
No ambition??
I struggle with our fans who still aren't on board with the way TB operates.
To keep improving we have to find a way to financially compete with the top 10 clubs in the PL.
8 of them are going to dwarf our income potential purely on the commercial deals they can generate.
Player...
It's not even as if that's the only options.
MacAllister has had some incredible performances when playing DM.
And then there's Moder, I was perfectly happy with him being Biss's immediate replacement, up until the injury.
Dan Ashworth has definitely been valuable to the club, but it isn't solely down to him.
Most of the recruitment approach was in place long before he joined.
Yeah good deal for Spurs, undoubtedly.
But probably a decent result for us too.
I was concerned he would be the first of several to run their contracts down and leave us with nothing to show for our investment.
Not sure if Naylor is saying £30m + add ons or £30m+ if the addons are included.
I suspect the latter.
Not that it really matters, it will be undisclosed fee and we won't ever know whether the add ons have been triggered or not.
They must have missed Moder then.
We are very well stocked in midfield.
Ali Mac was fantastic on Sunday, and he played a similar role against Palace at home. Surprisingly strong in the tackle that lad.
Not sure whether this is allowed.....
Our dip in form coincided with his arrest.
His form obviously took a hit, but I also think it may have been unsettling to the group.
There has been far less camaraderie from him and from the rest of the squad towards him since then.
Not making a comment on...
Bissouma is the one player we can replace without additional recruitment.
To be honest I'm hoping he does go this summer (for a decent fee).
£40m in the pot for recruitment would be ideal.
I didn't notice the woman.
There is always a couple of blokes with him, the kid was new to me, though.
Which is why I assumed he was one of the entourage's kid.
Because I think Biss may be motivated as much by cash as by prestige.
It can be the only reason he hasn't signed a new contract.
Villa have been able to secure Coutinho, so I'm guessing any wage deal could be significant.
It will be interesting to see who Biss ends up with.
I assume he has to agree personal terms to complete a move, which would prevent him from getting a massive signing on deal at the end of his contract.
I think his plan is to hang out until then and walk away.
I can only see him leaving this...
