Actually another view could be that we maybe one of the only clubs in the country which is cash rich so we could be getting comparative bargins as we can pay upfront rather than on the never never.
I am sure I have read on here that some coach/minibus whatever they were, had agreed to accept the vouchers in return for a £3 per match discount. Whether or not they have agreed a reimbursement from the club or not is maybe not known, or they may not have even thought that far.

You can only claim the interest not the mortgage payments. Any loss cannot be set against your other income only property income so if you have none other it will be lost.
In theory I would think the club COULD sue for the balance outstanding as the contract is for a season ticket for the whole season.
In practice I would guess the club would cancel you season ticket after the game you have paid up to. With a waiting list it wouldn't be worth the expense of debt...
I don't get why you are concerned about away fans who wouldn't need vouchers. Fans from Leeds for example would purchase a rail ticket from Leeds (or their start point) to Falmer, they would purchase a coach ticket from their start point to Falmer, no voucher required. Car users would presumably...
