Classic fantasy, I have Grimaldo for Spain's first two group games and as soon as I replace him with Carvajal de la Fuente rotates. Sigh. No points from Ruiz either most likely.
Funny enough, I was watching Romania the other day and caught myself confusing Ratiu with David Mella, with whom we'd just been linked, because of the hair. Turns out we're interested in both boys in blue :lolol:
Kjell Scherpen, from Ajax
Jan Paul van Hecke, from NAC Breda
Joel Veltman, from Ajax
Alireza Jakhanbakhsh, from AZ Alkmaar
Jurgen Locadia, from PSV
Davy Propper, from PSV
Soufyan Ahannach, from Almere City
Elvis Manu, from Feyenoord
Niki Mäenpää, from VVV Venlo
Danny Holla, from ADO Den Haag...
Agree that many of our loans this past season were flops but Leonard (as you say), Sima, Undav, Sarmiento, Rushworth, and Beadle all had good or great spells on loan.
Versatility, I like a good CB/CDM  He doesn't start over De Jong, mind you, but old Frenkie isn't always fit and Wieffer is a good squad player.
As for my actual Brighton save, Assan Ouédraogo, Noah Darvich, Piero Hincapié, Festy Ebosele, and Wilfried Singo all shone if you're curious...
Watched the match in a German pub in London in my Gross shirt, Nagelsmann was lucky to get away with a draw. Should have brought Fullkrug on earlier (and Gross of course).
Alexander Prass, the 23-year-old LWB (and LM) who set up Baumgartner's goal three minutes after coming on, scored nine times and assisted a further nine goals in 47 appearances for Sturm Graz in all competitions last season. Could do a job!
To be fair, if they don't, they'll be down two quality strikers heading into a CL campaign. Not that the fans get a vote but I'd be upset as a Stuttgart supporter.
