Anyone ever walked a long distance footpath?

Oh, and Gillingham to Brighton is an interesting walk, though I wouldn't recommend it...

To: fl@football-league.co.uk From: The Clown of Pevensey Bay Dear Sirs, I wish to object in the strongest possible terms to the appointment of Mr Phil Prosser as referee in the forthcoming match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Crewe Alexandra, at Withdean Stadium on Saturday. Mr...

Anyone ever walked a long distance footpath?

Hadrian's Wall? 87 miles in total, I think. And a superb view almost all the way. You can do it in four days if you get your head down.

What's the most depressing place you've ever been??

Preston. It always rains there and it comes down diagonally, relentlessly, jaggedly spirit-crushingly hard. I lived there for three years and would sooner eat my own buttocks than live there again.

    iPod quandry

I'd bloody love one, but I have not enough cash for it, and am not likely to either. I'm loving dicking about with iTunes though. It's great. So I'd say keep it.

Anyone lose their HAT in Sunderland?

For anyone who's not bored of the US election yet

Here's an interesting prediction. Tonight the Washington Redskins played at home... their last game before the election. According to Brighton-supporting news presenter Jon Snow on C4, every time the Redskins have played the weekend before an election, they have predicted the result. When the...

Early Election........... trouble for Falmer Project.

Bonkersly, it might speed the Falmer decision up. Think about it: a concluded inquiry at around the same time as an early Feb election, then a decision-making process that, provided John Prescott stays in the ODPM (and given that Tony created that department just for him, he's not going to move...

Anyone lose their HAT in Sunderland?

I found an item of headgear just as I was leaving. PM me and tell me what it looks like, and where you think you lost it, and I'll post it on to you.

    How snobbish are you?

61%, probably because I put on an accent to pronounce foreign words! But I'm the same as SIMON, so that's OK.

    Election in February?

You'll get to vote in the council elections in May! Scant consolation I'm aware!

    Buy shares in John Prescott!

Not really. I've stuck all my equity into Michael Howard (oo-er!) and and not bothering to trade that much any more.

just to say to all brighton fans and especially...

I wasn't among that group, Wooly, but I'd just like to say I had a great time with a bunch of SAFC fans today. Met plenty of them on the 1030 from Carlisle, then went drinking with them in the Dun Cow beforehand and in another bar afterwards. Nice people, all of them. :clap2: :clap2:

What's the furthest north you can go with a Network Railcard?

You just asked where the furthest north is. I suspect if you're on the way to Norwich, London is your answer. Get the thingy to Norwich from King's Cross.

I can't stop seeing Brighton players/staff in public!!!

I saw Dan Harding and Albert Jarrett in the Open House when I was in Brighton a few weeks ago. They talked to some very attractive girls, then went away. I used to see Kerry Mayo and Dodge on Dyke Road quite a bit when I was at BHASVIC.
