Red Bull make offer to buy Leeds

If they did take over, you would expect them to want to change the name to fit in with their other clubs... we all know how Hull fans reacted when the owner wanted them to be called Hull Tigers and obviously the fans reacted badly when Tan changed the Cardiff colours. Would the Leeds fans be...

Which striker/strikers would you aim to bring in this summer?

Absolutely no chance that Adebayor would drop down to a Championship club, if West Ham or another Prem club don't go in for him then can easily see one in Italy taking him.

I'm not suggesting that Portugal are a one man team....

Looks like it was very much a reserve team they put out and by the looks of it Cape Verde scored with their only shots on goal. Is crazy though how a team can be so reliant on one player.

[Albion] team for norwich on friday

Yep, returned to Boro on the same day that Carayol arrived.

    Have I underestimated CH?

Agreed. Bearing in mind the amount of players who are set to leave either because of their contract being up or loan players returning to their parent club, will def need to be five or more. Defence alone needs at least three.

    Ex Loanees

Sam Vokes is probably the only recent-ish one you could argue (though he went back and signed for Burnley who had him on loan previously rather than Wolves who he was signed to). Still think Jesse Lingard is going to be a good prem quality player, though obvs he will need to move on from Man Utd.

    Gus gets the boot

Sounds like it's a case of history repeating for Poyet, nothing much learnt from his time to us and had sounded out other clubs about taking on the manager role...

    Bridcutt oh dear.

Assuming Gus does leave Sunderland at the end of the season (like many expect him too), can easily see Bridcutt being one of the first players the new manager tries to push out the door, Buckley prob won't be too long behind. Hasn't really worked out for either, has it?

If Gus got the sack, would you have him back?

No, absolutely not. Poyets reign was in the past and should always stay there. We have a very capable manager in Hughton, why would anyone (at the moment) want to change? Especially when Poyet is such an egomaniac.

    How annoying would it be

Brentford are still in the play-off places and Bournemouth in an automatic one, still chance both could make the leap up this year...

Looking forward to next season, who from the existing squad would be a starter?

Definitely don't need a new first choice goalkeeper. Stockdale has been solid of late and has made a lot of good saves and Waltons a good back up. Fully agree with the rest though.

    Baldock: Happy or unhappy??

With Best not starting against Leeds and being replaced by Mackail Smith, presume Baldock will get the chance to play the lone striker role tonight. Will be interesting to see if he takes the opportunity to stake a claim for it on a long term basis.

    Loanee rumours...

Murray is definitely a no goer at the moment, he's not allowed to turn out for another club other than Palace (or Reading if he returned) for the rest of the season.

Our last 8 home fixtures are tough.

Majority of those teams heading to the AMEX will be in desperate need of points themselves to help secure a play-off place and meaning they arrive with an attacking mentality which means they could be open on the counter. Anyhow they're going to be tough and largely unpretty.

    The Premier League Draft.

There is an alternative way to do the picks in future if everyone feels the current way takes too long or/and is inflexible. Next time someone could act as the main player registrar. Managers could blindly submit their player wished for before a given deadline / cut off point per selection...

Is Chris Eagles worth a trial?

Easy solution would be for him to play with C. Eagles on the back of his shirt, that would make it a lot more pleasant. Could be a handy short term signing til end of the season, need a creative midfielder who can play outwide and whip crosses in. Bit of added experience in midfield would also...

    Tom Ince?

... and it was only in the last window that he turned down Inter http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2650820/Tom-Ince-wants-stay-Premier-League-rejecting-Inter-Milan.html Seriously though, a loan to a championship club could help get his career back on track. Whether he would...

    Our striker situation is abysmal.

Akinfenwa might be able to do it for Wimbledon, but really can't see him being able to take the step up and do it at Championship level, especially for Brighton if Hughtons plan is to often play on the counter.

    Paddy McCourt...

Bound to be one of the MLS clubs.

    Steve kean

Hoping this is right, Kean would make a great assistant manager. Heavily respected in the game as a coach and like some have already said, he got handed a hard hand with the Blackburn managers role. Plus not many good coaches also make good managers. Kean and a couple of choice signings this...
