Impressive stats but there's a vast amount of difference in quality between being a semi-professional in the NIFL Premiership and the Championship. Some players have taken the leap successfully, so worth a look but interesting that a Scottish Club hasn't yet gone after him.
As a player I like him, he's quick, skillful and scores goals when played as a striker but I'm not sure if he'll be the right signing for Brighton because he's a little too similar to Baldock. If the idea is to get a player who can play on the left of the three, as well as one that can play up...
There was a piece on the BBC site earlier about it. The loan is repayable in 0ct 2017 so they'll have the Prem money to pay it all off, also all within FFP rules.

One player I presume Hughton will consider is Javier Garrido. He brought him to Norwich on loan from Real Sociedad and then later signed him permanently. Has experience of playing in both the Championship and Premiership, is 30, so has a few years left and is also available on a free transfer.
His contract is up, so free to sign for another club. Apparently he was on £3m a year at Villa, so yeah can't see him wanting to take much of a cut (if one at all).
Yes, but 93 of those goals came in 161 performances in League 1. His record in the Championship is 24 in 120 and given his age, you would have to assume that he is now past his best and certainly shouldn't be a target for a club that wants to build a squad to get into the Championship.
Wouldn't have said that was exactly true, he was always being linked with management roles at clubs in both Premiership and Championship. If we hadn't got him, some other club would have done so not long after.
Most clubs would struggle to find the money to pay that much in one go and in all honesty I expect some deal to be done which means that QPR will be playing in the Championship next year. The 57m payment being spread over a number of years, probably directly fed straight from the parachute money...
Bassong could be a good option, but is another who seems prone to committing calamitous errors at times. Tbh central defence is probably the one position I feel most confident about the club getting right, lot of good players about who could forge a good partnership with Dunk. People like Alex...
You'd still have agent fees and player signing on fees to pay, also some of the more in-demand players might expect a little bit more on their wages per week and these initial than you would normally pay, but not in all cases.
Mentioned it in the free transfers thread but do think that Hughton might seriously think about Javier Garrido for the left back slot. He's 30, has experience of playing in both the Championship and Premiership, available on a free transfer and Hughtons previously worked with him, so ticks a lot...
Club needs to adopt a sensible transfer strategy that utilises the money available to be the best of its ability. 3 or 4 of the positions could be covered by frees (also expect a couple of season long loans from Prem clubs to again happen next year) but any transfer money being spent needs to go...
We're all expecting the clubs purse strings to be tightly held this summer, so all expecting some players to come in on free transfer.
Looking at those listed on the below link, there appears to be a few who could come be realistic targets that could come in and improve the squad...
The problem with prioritising one position and then moving onto another once that one is filled is that the choice of players becomes smaller and smaller as time goes on - it's not the best approach. Instead you would hope that a list of targets that covers all those positions has already been...
