Thing is the Men's 100m is easy to categorically say who won it as there is a photograph which shows it. I sort of get that a player is either offside or not offside but my gripe is everybody is jumping up and down says its black or white but (I think somebody else has said this on this thread)...
The drum playing has been going on a while well before the Zaha classic. It isn't the same person though, he retired (or was he pushed, cant remember) last season
Its £16.45pp from Polegate Station to the Amex this season and I think it was about £14 last season so about 14%. In the championship it was about £11.50 or so
Yes I see that I suppose, the issue is that ST are a profit making organisation who weren't necessarily a cheap option before the big increase this season. It means the are elderly and disabled supporters who are priced out of getting to the Amex for evening games now as they cannot travel on...
But you could say you can get the normal bus from Polegate for nothing and you can get the train from Polegate for nothing so the club and paying both the bus company and southern rail irrespective of whether a fan travels that way so the club are paying double, by adding in a seagulls travel...
I can't understand the double subsidy thing either. If you go from Polegate, for example, it was either free train travel or a subsidised coach fare, its one or the other, not both
But they do (or legal they have to) pay living wage to employees over 24 years old of £8.21 an hour, McDonalds makes around £350m profit in the UK each year and employ 1,000's more than 20 PL clubs do, do they pay more than the minimum or living wage.
I'm not saying its right or wrong, I just...
The national LIVING wage is legally payable to employees over the age of 24. Forcing a football club to pay all staff that amount, when 75% of match day staff are probably under that age, will result in one thing, less match day staff.
For an evening match, getting to the Amex using a seagulls travel coach/bus from East Sussex is completely different from trying to use public transport. Is there a bus that runs from the Amex to, say, Eastbourne at 10pm on a Tuesday night?
Thankfully evening matches in the PL are few and far...
I don't think the intention is to go back to the ST being a payment card it will just be debit/credit card/phone/watch all using contactless to pay. The majority of transactions will be under £30 and higher you just enter the pin. Just like Spurs new ground for example.
