It's more than 'nice ideals' though, isn't it.
It is harsh reality.
We are living beyond our needs. Currently at the expense of other people, other people's children and other species. But ultimately at the expense of our own children (or their children, depending on how much of a buffer of...
Grealish
He thought the lockdown rules didn't apply to him because he is rich and famous and felt like going to a party.
He got involved in a car related 'incident' and refused to take responsibility for his actions.
He represents the negative side of manhood, humanity generally and...
Grealish's behaviour in early days of lockdown were detestable.
Zaha makes a great pantomime villain, and I'll happily join in with all that, but I find no reasons to 'detest' him and even a few reasons to quite like him, once you take the rivalry away.
Nothing is foolproof. There is no Utopia
But there are many different ways to think about how we run a society: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyqG-71zOi0
Agree. It's always been nerve wracking, but I accept that this is just part of an attractive and exciting way of playing.
But watching us continue to try and do it against Liverpool, when they'd decided, correctly, that our utter dedication to that approach could be exploited was horrible. I am...
I was surprised the Stephens penalty wasn't given - I'd guess that would be given as a pen (and then backed by VAR) 2 out of 3 times. Think we were lucky.
Once it was given though, I was not surprised that VAR backed the ref. It wasn't a clear and obvious enough error to be overturned.
This is very true. And it's tricky.
But if you take what he says as the starting point, as any sane person would, you definitely wouldn't design the system we have.
There are plenty of alternatives on offer, but I suspect what we need is something different again, which needs to evolve once...
Hmmmm.
Meanwhile Chris Hughton is holding off signing a contract with Bristol City.
Hmmmm.
Could be a good option for Leeds if Bielsa goes. With the squad they have they will need someone with experience and pragmatism if they are going to stay up..
Hmmmmm.
First page: (we don't stand a chance) He's shite and over-priced
This page: (looks like we've got him) Fantastic signing, signal of intent, who could posssibly be against it?
I thought they would. And still do.
Obviously I don't know anything more than anyone else, and I am sure less than many. But I am certain of one thing and that is that the economics of this pandemic (and Brexit) is along long way from having fully played out yet. We are just at the beginning...
£40m for an unproven CB? You'd assume we would.
We just sold a former championship player of the season for £12m and we mostly thought that was good business.
£40m would restrict their ability to strengthen elsewhere and increase our potential to buy the additional goals we need. So overall...
Didn't Norwich start out rather well this season? I seem to remember watching Pukki very enviously.
Norwich are obviously a bigger team than Leeds and they stll couldn't keep it going with (mainly) players that had torn up the championship.
Got tempted by the comments on this thread and registered on their forum for a look.
Blimey.
I mean every club, and every forum has its dicks, obviously. But making Millwall look like the epitome of class is quite a feat.
My view is that the championship is his level, but he is not championship quality:
- Bits of his game are premier league quality
- Bits of his game are league one (or lower) quality
NONE of his game is championship quality.
As a person though - what is not to love?
