    [Finance] Agency work?

So you mean you'd prefer to wait and have one payment covering several weeks work, rather than being paid every week? I'd imagine you just need to discuss it with the agency. I certainly wouldn't just stop submitting timesheets and expect them to understand or agree to that without being...

[Misc] Who is the Father of the House (NSC) ?

The lost post counts resetting to zero I was never that fussed over (let’s face it, I was never going to keep pace with the likes of Ben’s Grandad), but it was a shame that everyone’s join date showed as 2003, even for those of us that were an earlier vintage and who’d already been NSCErs for...

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

And never mind all this modern two metres social distancing nonsense, just revel in the fact that, back then, the North Stand food kiosk and the North Stand piss trough were less than two metres apart.

Exit strategy - where are the face masks coming from?

They've been compulsory here in Dubai for several weeks now. Packs of 50 of the disposable medical ones are about £15, with plenty of availability – the pharmacy downstairs in my building has boxes and boxes of them. I'd happily fill a suitcase or two and fly them over, if I was allowed...

[Technology] Anyone successfully moved Music to an exal HDD on MacOS Catalina ?

I think you need to do changes within iTunes, so it knows where to ‘look’ for your new library. I did something similar a while back. I’m sure if you a Google it you’ll find simple instructions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[Misc] Who is the Father of the House (NSC) ?

I’ve been on since 1997, when - randomly - Gary Crittenden ran it from the Isle of Man. Used to be something like homepages.enterprises.net, if my memory serves me right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Apparently he’s up early today, trying to prove that he does do more than watch Fox News in bed with doughnuts till midday. Press conference in about 30 minutes, 4:30 UK time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    [Brighton] RIP Michael Robinson

Rest in peace. As for many others, he was one of my first Albion heroes. Sad sad news.

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

We're going to end up with something a bit like table football, I reckon. Players won't be allowed within two metres of each other, so why not make it easier to manage that and simply strap/leash them to posts/bars etc, so each player is only able to move a limited distance from their stake...

    Trump

"A Washington Post analysis that found over the past three weeks of briefings, Trump spent two hours on attacks, 45 minutes praising himself and his administration, and just 4½ minutes expressing condolences for coronavirus victims."

    Trump

I reckon the strategy will be to go all out on xenophobia. For example, any attempt to criticize Trump for the way he handled Covid 19 will just be twisted back to attacking and blaming China, and then linking Biden to China. Likewise on any other topic. It’s going to be horrific. Sent from...

[Music] The finest track ever recorded (April 26 2020 edition)

Today, I think I'm in the mood for a bit of Luna's 23 Minutes in Brussels. Nothing tops the recorded version, that Tom Verlaine played on, but here's a decent live version taken from the closing credits of the Tell Me Do You Miss Me film (and where I can spot myself in the crowd at 05:38…)...

    Trump

It was 'sarcasm', apparently, again. But the moment you read his tweets, it's obvious he wasn't being sarcastic, and his sulky attempt to now insist he was is as laughably transparent as a small child repeatedly refusing to back down from a blatant lie their parents can see right through.

Unseen footage of Brighton vs Doncaster. Last game at the Goldstone.

15:55–16:07 Ah, a quick glimpse of the blue smoke bomb I threw onto the pitch from the back of the North Stand. I remember Papa Lazarou pointing out that I'd nearly taken out a steward with it. No.2 in the pack was then smuggled into Edgar Street… in my pants!

[Other Sport] The Official NFL 2020 Thread

Though the Seahawks draft wasn’t particularly exciting, I always remember this assessment of the 2012 draft. Seattle were ranked as having the poorest draft of all NFL teams, with a certain Russell Wilson dismissed as the worst pick of the lot... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

Today, the chairman of the Australian Rugby League Commission has floated the possibility of having rugby fans download an app and “self-isolate” for 14 days if they want to go to the State of Origin - one of the year’s most significant and competitive series of games. Peter V’landys made the...
