Of course every player has a defensive responsibility, they do at all levels of the game, but to play a player who has predominantly been used as an inside right/ right winger and expect him to perform in a role where his main duty is to support the left back, is stretching it to say the least...
Haven't watched that video since AJ signed, but watching it again now and comparing with the guy we were playing mostly wide on the left, it seems to me we almost criminally mis-used him, akin to playing Bruno as centre forward and expecting him to win the golden boot.
I have slated Ali J on...
One of the few times Ali J impressed me last season was at West Brom, when he played that role, so maybe.
I cant see Knocky leaving tbh, so far Fulham have just enqired about him, thats it, and we all know he loves to come infield, Trossard can also play that role so it could be a very fluid 3...
True and Citeh do all right with Aguero and Jesus sharing the role, neither strike me as being Murrayesque in stature.
Ok, before anyone points it out, i am aware that they have ability way beyond Andone and Maupay, but it does show that good movement is just as important, if not more so than...
I know Potter normally only plays one up top, and we would definitely lack height, but Andone and Maupay would be a real handful for a lot of defences, really impressed with Maupays movement and ability to be in the right place for rebounds etc.
Absolutely, i'm glad im not negotiating this deal because for me, the Dunk Duffy partnership is one of the main reasons we get over £100 million per year, so i'd scupper the deal for Bloom completely, you want to break the world record Leicester? Well guess what Dunk is worth more than that to...
This report that Leicester dont think Dunk or Tarkowski represent VFM just seems like tit for tat to me, yesterday a report from Andy Naylor suggested that if Leicester were to make a bid for Dunk, it would have to be more than the £40-45 million being quoted therefore pushing the price up not...
Ali J, if Potter fails to turn him into a goal scoring and assisting winger then he's done for, it is his second season and some reporter from Dutchland said he ALWAYS comes good in his second season.
Failing that it'll be Montoya.
7 for me, excited to see what a change of system and different ideas from Potter may mean to our existing strikers, i dont think we will bring another striker in, but i never did, so thats not a disappointment for me. I would like to see another midfielder join, one that can boss a game and...
Carthorse, makes Benteke look awesome, slow, turns about as quick as Newhaven swing bridge, main attributes seem to be that hes big, well so is Akinfenwa and he's been in league 1 and 2 all his career for a reason, might even say he looks better than this lump.
So that'll be a no then from me.
Can't help thinking we won't sign a striker, I reckon it will be between Andone and Locadia with Murray and Hemed as back ups, unless one of these are leaving.
Be interesting to see what our existing strikers can do with that sort of service, but i dont think we need to go back to Genk for a striker, some of the finishing was atrocious. On that evdence anyway, but then again, they did win the league, so someone must have been banging them in.
