Chin up mucker, could be back at withdean in the pissing rain, watching David Cameron fall over his own feet or pinning our hopes on Chris Holroyd coming good, instead we are looking forward to Locadia falling over his own feet and pinning our hopes on Ali J coming good, but the seats are miles...
I am of no doubt Knockaert wanted this, that the low fee is to help him, but that the loan is to make sure Knockaert feels it was a good move before committing to anything long term.
I think Potter, Ashworth, Bloom and the club generally are taking a lot of undeserved flack for helping a player...
Is that the lad who was on loan to Girona from Man City? Played against us last summer or the one before, whenever it was. If so that is a bloody good signing, he will be a top player someday.
My mojo is absolutely fine, the window is still open, Potter is getting his ideas across to the team, im taking heart from the first half yesterday rather than a fitter Fulham team being, well, fitter than us in the second half and now Potter has had a few weeks with the players and a couple of...
Ffs get real, we dont even know if its the clubs decision or Knockaert himself, we know AK has been suffering since the death of his father, maybe he is reminded every day wherever he heard the news, be that at home, the training ground or whatever and he just needed a change of scenery, maybe...
I wouldnt be at all surprised if it was Knockys choice rather than the clubs, perhaps that is the reason for the loan, if he is happier elsewhere then he stays there, if not he can come home.
Well that's a crap bit of news, but no point getting titsy over it, it's done and nothing we can do about it.
Bon chance Knocky, thanks for the memories.
I agree there are a few who can play in more than one position, you can add Trossard to the ACM role too i believe so perhaps that position is covered better than i thought but whichever way we shuffle it, we are still a couple light besides a right back.
Thats a fair point, however i think Locadia will be competing with Trossard for the left of the 3 at least until Izquierdo is back, leaving just Andone and Murray for the striker role and still no competition for Gross unless Potter thinks Alzate is ready.
I actually said as much just this week on another thread and i have slated him in the past, even now i dont think he has what it takes, but heres the thing, play him in a position that suits him, in a more attacking formation, under a manager with different ideas and he MIGHT come good, i bloody...
No argument at all from me, i hope he doesn't go, we need both, and the price is an absolute joke imho, we are looking at championship players who may or may not be good in the prem and clubs are asking north of £15 mil, Knocky is as good as it gets at that level and is now an ok premier league...
So we just top up his wages without being contractually obliged to do so, dont think so, each new contract has to be negotiated, the only thing that has been guaranteed by his previous contract would be that his wages would match that of the new signing, you would imagine the club trying to get...
Im not saying you're wrong, or that im right, very few people would know what is in any of the players contracts however  A new contract WOULD be needed for each occasion because of the length of the deal, for example a new player signs on a 5 year deal earning 5k more per week than Dunk is...
Short thinking at best, unless you are very confident that you wont be signing anyone on higher wages during the length of that contract (5 years in Dunks case), but then why else renew Dunks contract when he still has 4 years to run on his previous one.
Just playing devils advocate, but...
