Lincoln City vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Fair point on the full backs, Goldson in particular was pulled way out of position to cover right back. Hunemeier looked rusty but was the pick of a very bad bunch. Goldson had an absolute shocker, aimless passing and panicky. The midfield and attack repeatedly on the back foot second half. If...

    Player ratings v Reading

Hard to rate anyone except AK today as Bong put so many others under pressure. His positioning and decision making was atrocious today, he also managed to combine this with several mis-kicks, bottled headers and reckless challenges.

Derby County vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Squandered some good opportunities initially but the pace of the game was frenetic. Showed good pace and his finish was superb. Hopefully that will give him the confidence to perform.

    Post-match thread - Reading

Another very tight game. Dunk and Uwe looked class, complimented each other nicely and Stockdale was very impressive until conceding. Everyone put in a shift against a Reading side who should feature in the play offs at least. Only complaint from me is that I thought our subs were made way too...

    Trains tonite

The queue to Brighton last night was actually dangerous and could so easily have been avoided. The first mistake was letting the queue build up while a train was waiting to leave that was at most 60% full. When this train left, rather than let an appropriate number passengers onto the platform...

Leeds United vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Very sloppy and no surprise Greer was subbed. Our counter attack play was very positive, lot's of players breaking into the box.

Sky just showed it. He anticipated a cross and left the near post open. Was a great hit to take advantage but poor positioning / decision making from Stockdale.

    Player ratings vs Fulham

The whole side played exceptionally well in the first half and dealt with Fulham high up the pitch and put in a real shift pressuring the ball. Very composed. Second half we tired significantly and passing become sloppy with the defence dropping deeper. Stockdale - 8 - great save at 1-1...

I wonder what Burke would have done with all this dosh?

Burke was way out of his depth and had shocking rapport with all the managers he worked with. Expensive loan signings swallowed up a big chunk of the budget and the majority of his permanent signings were inferior to outgoing players. Hughton and the new recruitment team look to have done very...

    Dunk for williamson

Can see Hughton taking Williamson but surely this would have to be a loan with Newcastle paying a chunk of his wages.

    Your team for FULHAM?

I think we will start with Ince in for March with Baldock reverting to last seasons wide role.

[Albion] Hughton: Judge us after the transfer window

I am not too concerned, while the number of signings is low the quality has been far superior to last seasons Burke led shambles. If we can bring in similar level of signings in the offensive positions we should improve drasticly.

How much faith do you have in KLL & March?

Exactly, he really needs to add some versatility to his game. Under Gus he contributed a lot at home when teams defended deep in numbers and the pace of the game slowed. Since then he's not really mastered the more central role. It's a pivotal season for him.

    Naylor's interview with CH

When we have quality like Kayal and Stephens in the middle 4-4-2 should work. Be interesting to see where Ince fits next season, I wouldn't mind giving him a chance to revert to center back.

    Rudy Austin

Toko was expected to compete for a first team holding midfield role. He hasn't got close to starting and has looked lacking in quality against various U21 opposition. He will probably be moved on (may be hard with 2.5 years remaining) and replacing him with a proven championship player makes...

    Rudy Austin

Should compliment existing options and free up Holla and Jake for more advanced roles. Good battler who covers the pitch well. Sounds like a proven replacement for Toko.

Please TB don't even think about appointing Jones

I would give him the job for the season. Fully deserved

    Jones post match interview

Very impressed. I wanted a manager who could galvanize the club and Jones is doing exactly that. I'd give him the job over dour options like Hughton any day.
