    [NSC] Your garden.

In my garden I have foxgloves, primulas, primroses, vinca major, cowslips, nasturtiums, rhododendrons, cyclamen, daisy (in the lawn) all in flower. The lawn needs (yet) another cut and the trees are full of berries - and the birch, willow and oak leaves are all over the place. Mother Nature is...

    [Albion] Corners on Saturday

My wife agrees with you, as she commented during the match on Saturday. Which could be as a result of her hearing my constant moaning that we've been crap at corners for years!

[Misc] Sayings your old mum or dad said.

Off topic a bit, but I can remember my shock when my granddad said something rude when he first told me "a dirty joke", he always seemed so "polite" until then. Aformentioned joke (told to me in a Watneys pub at lunchtime): What's the connection between Watneys Red Barrel and making love in a...

[Misc] Sayings your old mum or dad said.

A phrase that I've often used myself - including in a restaurant on Barbados and the waitress called the manager to our table. I was very worried when she got me to tell him what I'd said, until i realised that it was because she thought it was hilarious!

[Politics] Next Conservative Leader - Rishi Sunak

There's a difference between "Who should be the next leader ..." and "Who do you thing will be ..." My vote answered the question asked, which is not the same as the question as intended methinks.

[Albion] Brentford vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Too slow. Too tippy tappy. Too many players with their back to Brentfords goal. Too many side passes. Too little imagination. Too many corners wasted (when did we last score from a corner?). Too much like it used to be when we were relegation fodder (I'm not saying we're gonna be relegated but...

    [Help] Country House Hotel recommendation?

I like South Lodge too and have been a number of times since the early 1990's, which makes me feel old. A couple of years ago I was there at the same time as the Arsenal Squad, we beat them the next day =0)

    [Albion] Lost memorabilia

I (hope I still) have Betamax recordings (in the loft) of all Brightons' 1983 FA Cup matches that were shown on TV - which I believe is all except the first round tie at Newcastle - however I have "lost" the ability to play them.

[Misc] Any other old gits build Lego kits?

My 6 year old grandson loves Lego, he's already doing stuff aimed at 15 year olds'. For Christmas he's asked for "some Lego that I need to follow the instructions on". He is however not an old git, so this may be irrelevant to this thread.

I was thinking the same; "isn't it about time Welbeck scored a goal?". Not a complaint, simply an observation.
