Looking at it a different way...
Gross is our no. 10, but we need another like him as back up. Baldock won't really play there, but rather be an option for when we play 4-4-2 with a target man and a faster out and out striker. So we need back up competition for both of these (2 more in), and we...
1. We don't (in the big scheme of things) need £4m
2. We don't need to free up wages
3. He doesn't seem unhappy and he wants a crack at the Premier League
4. We need people who score goals
No logic whatsoever in selling him unless we have already decided definitively that he won't be in the 25...
Fair enough, in that sense I guess he did play that role. But his strengths are his work rate and running, pulling defenses out of shape and sometimes getting behind them. I was thinking of the need for someone who's more happy to put their foot on the ball in the final third and play the killer...
I may be wrong, but I don't really see him as a no. 10 (in the sense of playing in the hole between midfield and a loan striker), more as an option if we want to play a more traditional 4-4-2, perhaps coming on if we need a goal later on or want to be more attacking at home.
Hope this happens. We need back up for Gross in the no. 10 role and it sounds like Brown could provide that, without breaking the bank or taking up a squad place. What's not to like?
Thanks for the plug AmexRuislip!
Tempest are a great brewery - very 'craft' with some pretty extreme beers, but also some more mainstream as well. OX184 is a great venue too - in fact we're doing a mini tap-takeover and meet the brewer event there a week on Thursday if you happen to be around then.
We've been doing this for the past year or so as our house can be split into two flats and we've been letting one out (stopping now as we need the space with baby no. 2 about to arrive).
My wife has largely handled all the admin, but it's been a fair amount of work both cleaning and...
I'm not surprised, there've been similar stories out about us the last few years. You can imagine how it goes, phone rings:
- Hello, it's a newspaper here - how much are you looking to spend this summer?
- Tony, it's a newspaper. They want to know how much we're going to spend. Shall I tell...
Since they are all 26-something times, just add up the number after the decimal point in each case and divide by the number of times to get an average for each girl.
You know what the great thing is? We've got an amazing season in the Premier League coming up, and even if the worst happens and we get relegated, we have the prospect of another great season in the Championship to come (and with even more resources at our disposal).
Thanks! You're right, Eebria is straightforward and I am signed up to that (although I've just had to zero stock levels as I'm away for a couple of weeks). Who do you work for? Are you selling or buying on Eebria?
Once I'm back I'll get everything updated on there. The challenge really is to...
