Right, Brum gulls, we need a decision for tonight. I popped into the Troc last night to watch a bit of the game. Was good, and they had a section with the sound up. They said it would be the same for tonight, and that we could wear what we want (within reason!).
So I'd go for the Troc. timco...
Ok, the stores sounds good to me - let's go for there.
Edit: I just checked their website and it looks like they have a DJ on from 8 tomorrow. I don't mind too much if we don't get much / any sound, but thought I'd mention it...
I'd be happy with anywhere central or Harborne. The Troc sounds good, but I haven't had a chance to give anywhere else a call to check that it'll be on / that we'd be welcome. Will try to later, but if anyone else has a chance let me know!
Just called the White Horse - they said it would be on, but probably not on a big screen as they'll have a band on at some point (I guess there's no guarantee of volume either). So maybe not the best option.
Anyone else had any more luck?
Harborne would work well for me - pretty close and was planning on meeting up with a friend who lives up that way. He suggested the White Horse as a good place that shows football; will try to check with them if they'll have it on / mind us turning up if I get a chance.
I started a thread on this yesterday, and was just about to bounce it! Been living in Birmingham (city side of Edgbaston) since September. Keen to find somewhere central-ish to watch on Friday and would be great to get a bit of a crowd together - any good suggestions for places to go?
Any other Brum based Seagulls going to be looking for somewhere to was the match on Friday in town? Any suggestions of good places? It would be good to go somewhere with a bit of a Brighton support...
Well done everyone. I ran my second Brighton marathon today and the support was fantastic again - thanks to all of you who made it such a great day.
Also very sorry to hear about the runner who died. Very sad.
I would imagine compensation figures are based on pretty mechanical calculations from the length of contract and how much he's paid, so I'd imagine that even without any official information it wouldn't be hard to work out a ball park figure.
I haven't posted on this thread before, but thought I'd join in in the run up to the Brighton marathon - starting to taper the training down from next week and got the last really long run over with yesterday (20m around Birmingham :S). More to the point, looking forward to no more ice baths for...
