What! With Surrey playing away? I'll take the opportunity to close off the entire DLR and upshuffle to Stanmore. This is wide open now.
Edit: Damn you Titanic. I'll never get that DLR play again.
Have you all forgotten that it's Florence Nightingale's birthday today?
I'm only a beginner but I'm sure that means Crimean War rules apply and I can double-stamp (no switching) to Stepney Green.
If the figures are correct it's not "very low for the championship" but is it relatively low for one of the most important players at a club who have ambitions to be an established Championship team? Maybe.
Spot on, we're not offering Nav a new contract as he's injured. Where's the loyalty there? In theory he might not get another pro contract again but does that affect the club's thinking? Nope.
Don't get me wrong, he's been brilliant this season and it will be a massive loss to us if he goes. But how do we know he'll be better than any other first choice Championship striker when he hasn't played a full season at that level?
Nope, gonna cost me enough getting down there every other week from Leicester for competitive fixtures and I'd rather my first experience of the new stadium was a (first team) match that meant something. If I lived in Sussex I'd be very tempted though.
Couldn't possibly be easier, station is about five mins from the ground and you can pretty much see it from there anyway.
p.s. Hooters is shite, unless you particularly like chavvy teenagers wearing thick green tights that look like leftovers from a Robin Hood fancy dress party.
I wouldn't accuse him of greed, he's just had the best season of his career and knows he's in a strong negotiating position. He's probably only got one big contract left in his career and he needs to make sure he gets the most out of it that he possibly can.
Any idea of loyalty in football...
Good to have a ruthless clear-out, just what we needed do to if we're going to push on next year.
I was expecting Walker to be number 3 keeper next year with Brez moved on without a fee and Ankergren up against a newcomer for the starting place but offering Poke a new deal seems to make that...
