Ironically, the one managerial appointment where we’ll likely see a bit of longevity even with success will be Potter. Can’t see he’ll take it a 2nd time and it not be for a longer haul. Not that I’m endorsing the appointment, but I dare say all the others would be off at the drop of a hat.

Completely agree. At these age groups you’re talking 5v5, 7v7, then first season of 9v9. On the smaller 5v5, 7v7 pitches they rarely need to head it anyway, and to be fair most are reluctant to do so. Much better they learn to be footballers, heading can come much later.

Doesn’t matter, most managers with career aspirations will want to go to a ManUtd whether it’s stated or not. If he comes to us only thing that gets him that job is being successful - and that would be fine by me. Flip side is, you get a relative unknown who turns up, turbo charges your team...

You can’t take something like this in isolation. If your point is ‘a kick up the arse for some little scumbags’ then you have to get in there BEFORE they are 18. We’ve had over a decade of real cuts to school budgets, what they can offer outside of school day hours, youth services, provision...

My concern for England is that Maguire is shite, and United today have highlighted why. With a solid two prepared to challenge, step up, get tight, it’s transformed United, meant the midfield have less to do. Southgate won’t budge on Maguire though.

Agree, other than the 3 coming up, everyone else has a min 2 full seasons in the top flight. Think Forest really are the only weak link, everyone else had very good periods and look to have decent squads and managers.
