    [Help] Buying a hybrid

I had a Golf hybrid for two years and loved it. Only 30 miles max range but that was plenty for Mrs NES to do her daily commute and running around. I think we went for about 9 weeks without fuelling up at one stage, and that was using the car pretty much every day. Fast as flip but thirsty once...

    [Misc] COVIDIOTS hot spots

I am not at all bothered by Johnson's bike ride, seems perfectly reasonable to me. However, I am pretty surprised, and peed off about his, and Hancock's visits to the new vaccination centres, on the very day the Chief Medical advisor spent all morning on national radio telling us to stay at...

[Drinking] Boozers for Newcastle - again

You could try the Quayside bar down by the Tyne Bridge. Positives: Great views of the river/bridges, outdoor areas if the weather is nice, reasonable (as in cheap) food, it's an easy downhill walk from the station. Negatives, the walk back up the hill is a tw@t, it is likely be getting busy...

    [Football] Staying in Newcastle suggestions

Booking.com showing double room at Sleepers for Sat and Sun (as OP stated!) for £147, not too bad I reckon.

    [Football] Staying in Newcastle suggestions

Loads of city centre hotels up here but Friday and Saturday night stays won't be dead cheap. Sleeperz is a good shout, there are several Travelodges in town (which should be cheaper than Premier Inns) and maybe try the New Bridge Hotel. Occasionally get some deals at Jurys Inn or Hilton' in...

    [Football] Dortmund v Leverkusen Tickets

I went to Dortmund last season. The club were doing an official 'adrenaline package' . Wasn't cheap (120 euros if I recall) but we got 2 nights, in a Dortmund hotel, scarf and, other tourist tut for that. Seats were in tourist area away from the Wall but it is fun to watch them bouncing. Top day...

[Albion] Looking like a poor turnout at Newcastle

For a pre-match child friendly pub you could try The Goose on Percy Street. It's a big pub so you may even get a seat and it does cheap food. Away fan friendly and I've seen plenty of kids in there before. Short walk to SJP from there. Not a favourite of mine by any means but would do a job.

    [Help] O/T Property management companies

I would email them once more stating you no longer have an interest in the property and you want them to delete all their records containing your personal data. Ask them to and you a reply as to when they have done this, or reasons so by they won't do it. If get no satisfaction contact the...

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

Sounds exactly like my last night down there, finished off in The Cluny watching a Devo tribute band. A fine evening, putting aside me missing my bus stop and trailing through the Byker Wall to get to the Cumberland. Happy days.

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

Hi Brian. Good work. Are you in the really posh seats at SJP? I’ve been a guest in corporate there a few times and you get well looked after. Enjoy the game, and let us know if you can hear us from level 7!

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

Hi Sonna, so what pubs on the Valley do you recommend? I am liking Kiln but only been in a couple of times. Not sure about Earnest. The others I can take or leave tbh. Not been in the ‘new’ Ship, but remember the old one - a proper pub. Even had a Dr Ferlgood single in the jukebox (iirc).

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

Nice one Geestar. I hope Welbar Central is nicer than the old Welbar House it replaced! Mind you I would keep your new job quiet or you will have loads of posters from here asking for advice/freebies! If Knocky scores the winner tomorrow I will ask the lads here to fly my French tricolour from...

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

Hi Sonna. There are a few BHA fans up here but it feels a long way from home. Melbourne Street, interesting part of the city. Do you get into ‘The Valley’ (I believe that is what the Hipsters call it) for post-work drinks much?

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

Hi Geestar, I am in The Big House (Civic Centre). Will you be joining us here, or somewhere more salubrious? Could do with some Brighton fans in here.....

    [Albion] Newcastle; how and when?

I am currently in Newcastle city centre (can see SJP from my office window) and can report that it has stopped snowing. Hopefully my bus ride into the match tomorrow will take no longer than the usual 20 minutes. Looking forward to a big 3 points and bragging rights over friends and colleagues...

    Easyjet Flights - September 2018

I think that is it, being lucky, particularly with no frills carriers who don't have the spare aircraft to sub-in when things go wrong. But what did for me with easyJet was the total lack of customer service they offered, both during and after the cancellations. It just struck me that it suited...

    Easyjet Flights - September 2018

I have flown with Ryanair around 60 times over the last 5 years, never been cancelled and the most delayed I have been on arrival is about 30 mins. I flown with easyJet about 10 times in same period and been cancelled (when at the airport) twice, including getting stranded with zero assistance...
