[Misc] How many poos do you do each day?

Thank you! I pressed on with my career until 6 years ago I took early retirement. I've since been diagnosed with two related conditions, PSC (as was Kieron Dyer) and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. But I'm good, off to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos tomorrow so mustn't grumble.

[Misc] How many poos do you do each day?

I had my colon removed 14 years ago due to Ulcerative Colitis. After a while living with a stoma I was "replumbed" but without a colon food passes through me v quickly, sometimes in a couple of hours. I'll have a bowel movement at least 6 times a day, on a bad day it can be double that. I'll...

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

It's honestly quite hard to keep up with the steady stream of scandals stemming from this corrupt bunch of shysters we call a government. Just in the last week - deliberately leaking key parts of the budget, claiming they are cutting taxes and debt when they are actually going up, govt minister...

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Rank hypocrisy on their part. Their walk out last night was petulant and indicative of a party putting self before country and the suffering in Gaza.

    [Misc] Hove lawns…

Further along towards Brighton I saw the meeting place cafe has been demolished and is being rebuilt when walking past today.

[Technology] Using a SKY HD "box" for Freesat

BBC might have turned off SD but the SE News still looks to me like it’s been shot with a Super 8 cine camera.

    [NSC] Royal Sussex County Hospital.

On this night 14 years ago I was in the RSCH awaiting surgery the following day which radically changed me but which saved my life. The NHS then, while not perfect, was a different beast to what we have today - another legacy of 14 years of Tory govts.

    [Misc] Sim only phone contracts

Have had SIM only deals with O2 for me and the missus at 7.99 a month for some unnecessarily large amounts of data but it's the free EU roaming that I like.

    [Travel] Tenerife

Largely personal preference and me being a creature of habit but they also dealt with some no fault damage I had some years back really well.

Used Cicar in Lanzarote in the past, very good but I’ll always use Autoreisen if I can.

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Does nobody in the Tory Party ever stop for a second and say to themselves "I wonder what that might look like to the average voter?". Thought the same listening to Sunak this morning.

[Misc] Downer thread - breast cancer.

So sorry to hear this. In the last 18 months a family member and also a friend have received the same diagnosis - both are recovering well.

    [Travel] Boxing Day Parking London

Yes to both of these, I’ve used them before but was more looking for some pointers as to which areas to head for. I’m tempted by the suggestion of just driving into town.

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Just started Lupin on Netflix. Once you get beyond the fact that it is dubbed from the original French its proving a good watch - mainly trying to work out which hustle / deception is happening at any one time.

    [Travel] Boxing Day Parking London

Planning to go into central London on Boxing Day to see the lights, meal out etc. No trains so thinking of driving either into London and finding somewhere cheap and easy to park near a tube or stop further out and tube in a bit further (say Morden way) Any recommendations as to where to head for?
