By my recogning we have 16 outfield players seriously competing for 10 starting spots:
Dunk, Duffy, Webster, Burn, Veltman, Lamptey, Cucurella, March, Bissouma, Mwepu, Moder, Lallana, Gross, Mac Allister, Trossard, Maupay.
Connolly, Locadia and Alzate are more in and out with promising youth...
Ahh, I forgot about Cullip, didn't know about Butters though. I think Dean Blackwell may have been involved at some point too.
Of course Liam Rosenior and Steve Sidwell need to be added to that list too
I like the way in the Amex era many recent former players have been kept close. Watson, Rodger, Mayo, Roberts, Ankergren, Jones, Bruno, Crofts, Dicker, Oatway and possibly Murray have all been involved with the club in a professional capacity after retiring. Probably some I've forgotten.
I think it's fair to say Potter isn't a fool, he knows he has a long career ahead of him and a young family he has already moved from Leeds to Sweden to Wales to Brighton. If he was offered a big six job, or England, or a good foreign job he'll make the best decision for him. It may be we're the...
Is it the case that Fifa 23 will be free to download, with EA earning money from UT packs or something like that?
I'll be getting 22 for my birthday in a month, if it is on Ps4 or 5 depends on there being stock before November
It depends. Is he a Trossard/Ali J/Tau sort of player who can play an attacking role in a front three as well as further back in midfield? If not I don't think he'll get in the team, but as always happy to be proved wrong!
Unless he goes abroad, Liverpool is the only side I can see coming in for him to replace Wijnaldum and there are probably better deals to be had on the continent.
Arsenal have signed Lokonga, Chelsea have a stable MF, United have signed Sancho and probably Varane and there are no signs of big...
We bought one of, if not the, outstanding CB in the championship. Guehi wasn't really near that last season, though he is promising.
My father in law is a Chelsea version of AZ Gull (or near enough) and although he's disappointed to be losing an up and comer from the Chelsea youth, the price...
Lamptey, Karbo, March and Cucurella? as WBs with BDB and Veltman being able to play there as well as CB. Dunk, Webster, BDB, Veltman and maybe Ostigard in the middle would be a pretty good defence I reckon. That's not even including White as we've not accepted an offer yet apparently.
Yes, so they currently have 7 HGP in their squad meaning a max squad size of 24 over 21 players atm. BBC rumours reporting Remi Matthews may be heading there though which is... inspirational.
Have I understood the PL loan rule correctly that a club may have a maximum of two loan players in their squad at a time? Or is it only two players from the English leagues?
It also seems they now only have six HGP, possibly seven as one of their young RBs is 21, but not sure of the date cut off.
