I think it would be relatively simple to at least say that car parking always goes on sale at lunch time or something like that? While I understand that club don't have unfettered access to every part of the ticketing software, it must surely allow for different timeslots in the same day
Regulations will very likely be updated for next season due to the level of stupid in the Sainz decision. Plenty of rules have a "at the steward's discretion" clause
Honestly not sure we need much in the thread beyond this. I've been covered in soft drinks a few times at away games, which is annoying but not as bad as beer. My experience has pretty much been just they got spilled, and as you say it's annoying but whatever. Things happen.
Beyond that you're...
I've been to the city store in Hammersmith a few times, it's pretty decent and I think Debenhams has a bigger footprint too. Also handy that you'll be able to do free collection from the store for lots of stuff.
We absolutely could use other companies and do. Lots of the Park and Ride buses are from Seaford and (I believe) Worthing, not under B&H ownership. But we’re already using significant chunks of those fleet for the P&R, and then Seagulls Travel hire lots of other buses and coaches too
I think a key issue with this is that Brighton and Hove buses don't often have much going spare, and we're already hiring up a lot of the local buses for the park and ride schemes. But the club have been able to do it on train strike days in the past, I guess it's just a question of economics?
Realistically 550 people isn’t an issue for the train given there are already substantially more students housed in the immediate area already.
Also expanding Falmer station isnt really the issue. I believe it could be done, but you can’t extend the platforms at Lewes beyond the 8 carriages...
I’d utterly forgotten about Mithras House! Yes using EDF or something to the west generally would be good. I think they’ve used the Sainsbury’s in the past?
The Sussex carparks are an issue certainly, but more than controlling carpark exits better (which does need doing), we need police at the...
It’s quite remarkable how thick and dangerous some of the drivers who pick up in that area are. Every single game I see something that frustrates me no end
Honestly probably be wise to build it with a gate, but even then it’ll still get used as a lay-by. I mean people regularly pick up from the roundabout and the bridge over the A27 already!
One of the big issues with transport is a lot of it is out of the club’s control. The coach park often seems at capacity, so I don’t see how much more park and ride provision can really be provided. Southern can be contracted to run more trains as well as heavily encouraged, but their issues...
I have to assume the drip of stories about the benefits of the club for the city, alongside the announcement of the council’s support for a women’s stadium, mean we’re either getting the women’s stadium or some other substantial development work soon. All feels like it’s laying the groundwork to...
While I agree there are significant traffic concerns at the start/end of University terms, those concerns basically already exist with the Brighton and Sussex campuses, and the two student developments that flank Falmer station. Will it make it worse? Probably a bit. But the significant majority...
