No - don't take this very poor advice. PE and the equally scummy OPS (who are owned by a convicted criminal) don't give two shits about what you say. Follow the advice on the MSE thread already posted above and written by @LadySeagull - will work every time.
As the stone is fire hot you can cook your steak exactly to your liking ( assuming you know how to cook steak ). I tend to cut the steak into slices and then remove them when they reach medium rare. Dip them in bernaise sauce .... beef heaven !
I don't have an issue with the steak and hot stone despite being almost veggie. It allows me to cook the steak EXACTLY how I like it. Too many 'chefs' don't understand the difference between medium rare and medium.
