    [News] Notting Hill Carnival

So why do we get so many DFLs in Brighton ? I live 2 minutes walk from the South Downs and 5 minute drive from the sea. Give me that any day over living grotty London.

[Albion] Strong wind and heavy rain forecast tomorrow.

What was the match at Withdean where Gary Hart went for a sliding tackle and then proceeded to slide half the length of the pitch ? Before the pitch was upgraded. That was the wettest I've ever been at a match.

I'd imagine so. The OP was very sensitive about his posting history. Care to comment @Falmerfourtickets ?

Thank goodness there won't be any fog though.

[Albion] A4 size bags at the amex

Bit difficult if you come from work in London for an evening match with your laptop etc. I'm not going home and then trying to get to the stadium in time. Had to do this before these stupid rules. Really .... how much of a threat is there really from a laptop rucksack and how many football...

    [Help] Kids missing GCSE grades

Miss WS failed maths at GCSE which she was told would exclude her from doing A Levels. BASVIC agreed in the end that she could do her A Levels if she did a year of GCSE maths there as well. She ended up doing two years and passing on the 4th attempt. Secondary schools often don't allow resits...

    [Albion] Sussex University ANPR

Nothing like giving scam parking companies such as OPS even more money. You'd think organisations with decent reps such as Sussex Uni and BHA would have learned not to do business with them.

    [Humour] Joke du jour

Earlier this week I went to my local bar here in France and ordered two pints and paid in Euros. PS - "joke" is still crap

    [Albion] Perfect stadium size

The Man Utd game probably isn't the best example to use - it's still holiday season so many will be away for the match .... me and Master WS included.

[Football] Troy Deeney Team of the week

Well some of the articles they publish have clearly been checked by a six year old for spelling and grammar.

If you actually stay a night on the island the owners of where you stay will often give the discount codes for the ferry. PM me if you need further details as we have close friends that own a very good B&B in Shanklin.

[Football] Troy Deeney Team of the week

I suspect the BBC use voice recognition software to write articles - there's a noticable decline in spelling on their website over the last couple of years. So I suspect Troy just spoke his rather limited comments ( otherwise known as utter pointless comments ) and the software just misheard his...

    [Misc] Parking Eye- Liars

No - don't take this very poor advice. PE and the equally scummy OPS (who are owned by a convicted criminal) don't give two shits about what you say. Follow the advice on the MSE thread already posted above and written by @LadySeagull - will work every time.

[Food] Shrimp makes short work of customer in chinese restaurant

Oh come on - you'd eat the whole herd of wilderbeast running majesically across the plain if you could - cooked or uncooked ;)

[Food] Shrimp makes short work of customer in chinese restaurant

Take it off the stone once cooked to your liking .... or just before ideally as it keeps cooking without the heat.

[Food] Shrimp makes short work of customer in chinese restaurant

As the stone is fire hot you can cook your steak exactly to your liking ( assuming you know how to cook steak ). I tend to cut the steak into slices and then remove them when they reach medium rare. Dip them in bernaise sauce .... beef heaven !

[Food] Shrimp makes short work of customer in chinese restaurant

I don't have an issue with the steak and hot stone despite being almost veggie. It allows me to cook the steak EXACTLY how I like it. Too many 'chefs' don't understand the difference between medium rare and medium.

[Albion] League Cup Round 2 draw

Daft question - who is televising them ? Website doesn't say and I'm out of the country for the match but would like to watch it.
