We're definitely in the market for Zamora, judging by the ridiculous amount of press coverage and even Coppell saying that he wants him but we haven't bidded.
I wonder what we'd do with the others now that Goater doesn't want to go out on loan...
Forster Kitson Ferdinand Goater Owusu Morgan...
Daily Mail today says that Zamora is more keen on a move to Reading than Palace to link up with Coppell.
We will not spend £1m on him though, thats for sure. £500k tops...
Ever since day one I've wished for a train station next to the ground purely for convenience sake! - still a couple of years in the pipeline, mind. Would make my journey (along with many others) a lot easier time-speaking.
The problem (or perhaps a dilemma rather than a problem!) is that buses...
Very true, but that is on the way home when all 24,000 people (doesn't happen that often!) are running all at the same time for the buses. Prior to kick off its very simple and easy! I've never had a problem regardless of the crowd, and Reading is meant to have one of the top 5 traffic...
Sweet Jesus this is not rocket science...
Outside the ground on Saturday I was in a queue of people awaiting buses to leave to go back to town and the suburbs. There were probably around 30 buses in the vicinity of the ground at the time. Some then go and come back. Why would we need 120...
By bus to the ground, how else can they get there?
I'd say there were probably around 120 buses (double-deckers) from the station and from suburbs of Reading to the ground on a fully-packed matchday. Each holds around 80, so I reckon thats 120 x 80 = 10800... Easily done if not with a bit of a...
I don't see a great problem here. At the Reading vs Ipswich game last week the crowd was 23,303. There are 2,000 parking spaces at the ground, and another 1,500 nearby. So even if there were 4 to a car on average (likely to be around 3 I imagine), then how do the other 10,000 get there...
Who needs bus lanes?! The Reading buses just join the rest of the traffic...
The FA do not subsidise the buses, the club pays for them. Also, the local council gets involved because on non-matchdays, the Madejski Stadium is used as park and ride to town because parking spaces in the middle of...
What about other locations that are described as "not suitable" because of the transport access to the site...?
The owners of the train station (confirm SRA or franchised at all?) may choose to close the station on matchdays due to trouble if built at Falmer (as has been threatened in the past...
Just realised that I've posted a similar sort of thread and its discussed on here. Why does a ground need to be near any existing transport links? Many football grounds have relatively poor access, yet it doesn't stop the crowds flocking...
Just a quickie (maybe longer)...
Aside the problems with granting permission to plough through other people's land (THV) or set up a stadium on a site of outstanding natural beauty, what is the criteria that BHA are using to define good transport accessibility?
I cannot recall that many...
If and buts indeed! My scenario is as likely as any other scenario (good or bad), hence its all taking on the risk of the market that so many do but are not well-informed enough to take on! If my pay goes up then yes, I can afford a better house, but only if the prices remain constant. If...
Finally we agree on something (ish!) ;) - Hence invest in hedging instruments with rent money saved from not having a mortgage while saving up for a property! Then you are mitigating market risk, and it is flexible depending upon whether you are doing well or not with regard to your income
Ok, but say you owned your place for 1 year and then got a family (I don't know your family situation so it would be unfair for me to presume), and wanted to move 5 years down the line. A house is only worth as much as the next one you move into!
If you bought a 2 bed place for £150,000 and...
That is a risk you are taking on! - you are taking on the risk of the entire income and property market! I will buy when the market is right and at no other time... and I will sell when the time is right! In between, investment in property management and real estate fund vehicles helps to...
Why!?!
If you don't want to make money, why do you want to own it!?! ;)
Surely as long as you have a tenancy agreement that allows you to make the place "home" and you have a agent/landlord relationship that allows you to live as long as you really like, then for about 90% of the population...
But I'm not going to do it forever! And more to the point, if I spent £900 pcm on a mortgage then I'd have no money to do anything with. If I got a mortgage for £650 pcm then I would be living in a garage!
I would more likely put money into a property investment trust that earns growth and...
