Albion fail in bid to re-sign Cullip

Hopefully coming to Reading Hopefully coming to Reading Already here at Reading! All in the same division.... at the moment. I think that is more indicative of your success in bouncing back from Div 2 last year than actually the players moving sidewards. The ability of BHA to grasp...

    What? No Robin Friday?

Paolo Hewitt has written to a few Reading fans now trying to help make a film of Friday's life... I think the idea needs to be put into the open to discuss (a) whether a film is a good idea or not, and (b) whether the family are willing to allow a film to be made full stop. There are some...

    And another thing!! (Reading)

I imagine you were all to INTIMIDATED to even break into voice

    Nicky Forster

Opinions seeked from BHA people.... As you might know (and probably don't care about), he has been one of our best and most influential players in the last few years. He's been off the boil over the period that all that players have been awful, and hasn't been offered a new deal yet. The fans...

    Tin-pot club with tin-pot support

I think its more a case of "we were top of the league, why didn't we invest to stay there rather than inevitably slip down when injuries struck? Hence a lot of fans are annoyed at what could have been, and if we didn't make the playoffs then it'd be a disappointment! - I think that'd be the...

550 was the figure BBC Berks quoted. That crappy stand (which holds 756 actually) had 200 spaces. So I'd say that if you saw 200 spaces in a stand that you thought held 600, then your estimate wasn't too inaccurate after all... just that you had the capacity wrong! :dunce:

    Tin-pot club with tin-pot support

I suppose thats a fair point. I don't see the other teams around us playing badly and yet we still seem to be above them. If we refind proper form then we should be OK - bearing in mind that BHA sat deep for the whole of the first half and we didn't have ANY idea how to break through that...

    Tin-pot club with tin-pot support

Indeed (on both counts). We made 900 to Plymouth on a Tuesday night when we were crap. And 550 to Brighton on a Monday night when we were crap. So this away ticketing "policy" is a farce. Bad game all round. We will still never make the playoffs.

    In my best singing voice

I am afraid that you will be too INTIMIDATED to hear any of your own chanting tonight. You may even be too intimidated to begin chanting, given that you will be shuddering in your seats.

Tonight's referee is younger than Guy Butters..................

34 - If Keown, Ferdinand, Newman, and Goater played then he'd be one of our younger players!

    Top Ten Universities

Does that include all the open days, Lord B?? We used to take days off school at 6th form to travel down to random universities for pissups - and then justify it as "educational visits". :clap2:

Sussex has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. However, I question all the above league tables for not taking into account (a) the "recognised" degrees on offer, and (b) the difficult in achieving a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in comparison with others. For example, in the year...

    Reading Intimidation

This is the opposite effect that your "Spurs ticket fiasco" has. Basically giving priority to people, and then completely forgetting about the rest of the 21,000 member card holders who might want to go. I'm afraid you'll have to intimidate yourselves...

    Reading Intimidation

This is what happens when they restrict ticket sales to only 15% of the people who are home fans (member cards with xx number of points). Silly system. Then they say "right - 350 have bought them, now RUSH to the ground today to get the rest of them!". Rubbish. If they made it open to all...

    Reading game

ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!!! Though we probably won't, and if its not 0-0 then it'll be 1-0 or 2-0 to the Albion at least.

    Steve Coppell on Monday

G'arn, you love him really ;) Not wanting to sit on the fence too much here... Coppell moved to Reading purely because we could offer him more at this point in his career. Granted the money is probably a bit better given BHA's financial existence at the moment, but it really was a choice...

Reasons we have more to be proud of than Wigan

Erm... isn't Wigan just ever so slightly famous for its role in the Northern Soul scene???

    My team against Reading

Hello matey - I was at an "offsite" for the last couple of days and got your message when I got back to check that we'd stuffed Rotherham as planned (!). I should be in Bmuff somewhere for the Brighton game... unless I get called up to London again this week but I'm hoping that won't happen...
