How many long running jokes does NSC have

Bed wetters/lickers. Or worse, people using the phrase bed wetters ironically. People predicting impossible points totals - eg. 'How many will we get from the next three games?' And some wit says 8.

Saw him and his band at Primavera. Sounds far far more rocky live and the show benefits from lacking the excessive over instrumentation that makes MCIII a step down from MCII. Really want to see him again but he hasn't played Brighton in ages.

    Alton Towers

Yeah they definitely don't use water dummies after every technical fault. In this case it would not have helped. Roller coasters have a system of block brakes that divide the track into sections - one train is not allowed by the system into the next 'section' before the sensor at the next block...

    Restaurant 2015

I'm planning on booking The Salt Room in the next few days. Two questions - 1. Why have you gone for particular table numbers? Any reason why I want to be requesting table 24 or 26? 2. How do I do that? Ring up the restaurant I assume, as you can't do it on the website. Our other option is...

    Albums Thread - 2015

New Sun a Kil a moon album - Universal Themes - out today. Enjoyed first listen but it's certainly going to be a tough nut to crack - wilfully inaccessible at times with the lyrics and song lengths.

I am at Primavera now. Excellent first day - The Replacements were a highlight.

    Albions best ever keeper

    Ben Roberts for me.

    Bruce Springteen/Jackie Wilison.

I don't think this is a Springsteen show. Billy Joel is playing piano, and probably lots more famous people dotted about!

Best song to come out of Brighton ?

Well in that case someone should mention Suede, The Cure (though should really count as Surrey) and, erm, The Feeling.

Best song to come out of Brighton ?

I commute with someone who told me the other day that they 'really loved' the new Mumford and Sons single. Is there really no exceptions

Best song to come out of Brighton ?

Phats and Small - Turn Around On a serious note - Ladyflash by The Go! Team would be up there for me.

But, is it worth the fact that it being a one day festival thing means there'll be loads of wankers there (possibly!)?

John Grant announced 1 of only 2 English shows at the Dome today. £25.50 though. Ouch! What is Together the People? The line up on Ticketmaster looks shit for £45 and is it full of people who aren't going to be very interested in SFA? Gutted they didn't just announce a Dome date - their last...

    Favourite comedy character?

'GOB' Bluth and Togias Funke for ones that have not been mentioned. Niles Crane is definitely up there, as is Larry David.

Your top band yo would love to see live

Out of possibles, definitely Prince. Would like to see Tom Petty as well. Seen so many bands that I wanted to tick off in last few years, though - Bruce, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Television and soon The Replacements.

Derby and Fulham bid for Dunk [+ Newcastle now interested]

Not really. It could mean that we think that the money he could attract from other clubs could be spent better elsewhere.

Avoiding thinking about the fact that I'm missing the Furries tonight (too expensive, and Brixton Academy...) with Lower Dens at The Green Door Store. They were great last time I saw them in Brighton at the Hope so expecting more of the same - new album is great.

Sun Kil Moon playing at St Georges Church. Amazing news, except its £28 a ticket! More than they cost at the Barbican!

No footty? I have 2 day tickets for the Foodies Festival, on Hove Lawns £15 the pair.

What does one actually do at a food festival? This is a genuine question. I see there are chef master classes, but these require further (free) tickets when you're there. Are you essentially paying for the privilege of paying again to buy food?
