I don't know, I think I only saw 8 people in the town centre went I went there. And the babes don't go to the bookies.

'Babes at the Bookies' sounds like the title of something.

I hope Crawley stay up.

I want Sussex clubs to do well.

All this rubbish about them being thugs. We’re a bit precious aren’t we.

They played very well against us and at times it was hard to tell who was the more experienced team.

Yes, that challenge could well have been a red (definitely a yellow). Yes, the later offense was a red card. But really, aside from that it was a physical game and I’ve seen worse.

We need to stop getting our knickers in a twist about it and hope that another Sussex club does well.

That’s until I’m at Lewes entertaining Worthing. Or At Hurstpierpoint entertaining Hassocks (scum!)

I don’t agree. I think they were sent out to give a few “reducers” and I just don’t like to see that personally. They should’ve had two clear reds (the first challenge was worse, absolutely shocking) and their conduct during and after the match summed up their intent.

In my bad books.

I disagree. I despise the club, the players and their fans.

As @jcdenton08 said , they used a few "reducers" to even things out , you can`t justify that . The worst part being after what they did to Matt O`Riley they didn`t reign it in , they carried on trying to take our lads out the game .

Before that game i was ambivalent toward them , but now i want them to be consumed by their jealousy of us until it chokes them back down to league 2 .

PS . Up the Stags (y)

They were thugs against us in a friendly under Hyypia. After that game the sentiment was "never play them again".

And then we get a repeat performance a few years later.

It is in their DNA.

Whereabouts in leafy West Sussex are you. I lived in Egdean for a bit and had the joy of watching Fittleworth FC (crowd approximately 10).

Up The Blue Dogs!

I grew up in Brighton and Hove starting with St Bartholomews in 1968 (Mrs Porter) after moving from a place that shall not be spoken . Moved to Hove and went to St Andrews George Street , followed by The Knoll school for boys ( a place where young brains went to die ) crazy as it might sound - i bloody loved it (y) none of ya lardy da West Sussex .

I am lucky enough to live in Dorset now , consider myself extremely lucky , married 40 years a couple of months back , can`t make my mind up whether that is due to my massive sense of humour or something else ;)

Up The Blue Dogs !

Richness is in the eye of the beholder. Oh hang on. That was beauty, sorry.
I think you may have been accidentally right the first time. I imagine they could keep Han Solo on pizza and weed for quite some time.

Life is too short, we don't need to worry about Crawley. They ain't Chelsea FFS
On the other hand, in this bleak world, we need to take what pleasure we can.

If that happens to come from Crawley being wiped from the face of the earth like Sodom and Gomorrah and the fields sowed with salt so that nothing will ever grow there ever again being relegated, then I'll take it.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
It's a desperately sad tale. The Chagos Islanders were forcibly removed from Diego Garcia, to other islands, Mauritius and the Seychelles.

For the latest update read this Guardian article from May. This has happened, in Britain, in 2024.

'Could well have been?' It was absolutely shocking.
