Funny as it was to see Trossard get sent off for next to nothing, it’s ruined what was a really entertaining game.
So what? I think this statement is one of the worst in football, the actual rules being applied has ‘ruined’ an ‘entertaining’ game. Don’t break the rules then.

I have nothing much against Arsenal over any of the other big 6 plastic dickhead clubs. I just cannot stand Arteta, I’ve posted my opinion of him many times - he’s the biggest bellend manager in the league.

Bearing in mind players can be sent off and charged with violent conduct for flicking a finger at someone’s head, it will be interesting to see if any retrospective action will be taken against Harland for throwing the ball at the back of an Arsenal player’s head after City’s last minute equaliser.

I’d rather referees could still exercise an element of common sense before making game-changing decisions. Very much a ‘calm down, do that again and you’ll be off’ situation yesterday. Each to their own. I’d be pretty annoyed if (when) one of our players gets dismissed for a similar heat of the moment soft yellow in a massive match.

Nice to see our friends up the road being part of history. According to motd last night, this is the first top flight season ever where 6 different sides have no wins from their first 5 matches.

It's been absolutely joyous winding up Arsenal mates again this weekend. The amount of crap thrown my way over the Rice sending off, whinging about consistency etc. Well now you have it lads 😁 Twice you've taken the lead, twice you've got a bloke yellow carded and sent off for kicking the ball away, twice you've blown the lead. Marvellous scenes!

I laughed like a drain when Stones equalised. 45 minutes (well, 54 minutes) of shithousery almost succeeded - and then boom! A bad tempered draw the best result for everybody (bar City and Arsenal fans and who cares what they want)

Rodri's injury confirmed as an ACL tear. Title race just got a bit more interesting:-

Apparently he's out for the season and all football therefore is cancelled.

FFS all I've heard on R5, Talkshite, BBC, SKY is he is injured. Other clubs believe it or not also have their best players injured at times.

I agree, the coverage has been completely OTT. He’s the best defensive midfielder in the world, but this story is massively overblown from the sports media. As is the Arteta/Guardiola rivalry.

It’s all this stuff which intensifies my dislike of the whole Premier League thing. If we weren’t in this league any more it would be intolerable.

So what do you want. Common sense, or consistency ?

You can't have both.

Common sense within the context of the match if that’s ok with you. Worked fine for decades.
Fair enough.

But don't start grizzling, bringing out the whatabouteries, and comparing incidents when the laws are not applied in the same way from game to game.

It's not the PL, it's the media trying to have something to talk about. It's what they do. Just ignore it and focus on what you're interested in.
