Maybe somebody should have thought about that? Hope the issue can be resolved anyway - we want the lad back here this time next year with 30+ games under his belt!

This is a fairly common problem in Spain. Atletico Madrid had the problem with Gallagher and Barcelona have only now been able to register Dani Olmo having moved fringe players out to create space in the wage budget. Full respect to La Liga - their rules really do have teeth and force clubs to be within the rules. Last season, Barcelona had even more problems trying to register their new signings (bought with future revenues). If the Premier League had the same rules and held the same standards, Chelsea would have had to move on Lukaku and Sterling before being able to register their more recent raft of random signings.
