Hope I’m wrong but RDZ wanted Barco shipped out and now FH is shipping him out. He has looked good enough to me to be in the frame to play regularly. If he is demanding first team football then shipping him out is the best option. I can’t help feeling that after a year at a bigger club than Albion, we are unlikely to see him in the stripes again.

Can’t win them all but I really really like Barco but maybe he is a young prima donna and we made a big effort to bring him here so maybe he expected something different to how it’s working out

We are likely to be without my three of my favourite players this year in Gilmour, Barco and Facundo

He is a really promising player but he's not even played 30 senior games yet. He is not being 'shipped out', he is being given an amazing opportunity to continue his development.

At a bigger club in a Spanish speaking country, will he have any interest in coming back IF he has a good season? This could very easily turn into another Undav if he feels he wasn’t wanted and given a chance. All guesswork I accept.

So for context, this comment was NOT specifically about Barco. The question was 'are there going to be more outgoings, we know Sima is off to Brest, and rumours about Barco leaving, are there others who will leave?'. Fab then answered that they are always transparent with players, they communicate openly, and try and do what's best for their development, and then said the comment above. It was clearly not directed at Barco specifcally.
Booooo to facts and things in context. Where is the drama now? How can we amuse ourselves with rumours of discontent and discord in the squad?

Ban?

True. But it would have been very clearly stated to Barco that this is a development loan, and so wont have much of argument if we say 'sorry no sale, you're coming back' next summer. Very different situation to Undav given their ages, and stage of career. & Undav had some sort of purchase agreement in his loan deal, so he had more of a reason to kick off when we wanted him back.

He's much younger than Undav, so it's understandable he's being loaned out. Also, there's no option to buy this time, so it's more like when we loaned Ben White to Leeds. They wanted him, he was happy there, but it simply wasn't an option. Whereas Stuttgart had an option to buy.

Both you and @Triggaaar are right, I guess I am just pissed off that I won’t get to see him this season. High spot of a shit end to last season for me was watching him

Trying to come to terms with Brighton and Hove Albion loaning out 2 players who have recently been capped by the World Cup holders.

Exactly my thoughts. If he does well, playing at a big club in La Liga, why would he want to come back to Brighton.

He's 20. He was 13 when we got promoted; he's probably only ever known us as a Premier League club (and as one that often gets positive headlines).

He's also never lived in a time when the Premier League wasn't the most-watched and best-paid football league in the world.

I think us oldies often fail to account for how different the world looks to people born long after we were, and football tends to highlight this. (Another example was how incredulous we were that Caicedo chose Chelsea over Liverpool -- while we all remember Chelsea being shit, Caicedo doesn't, in his lifetime they've always been one of the world's top clubs. Well, until recently!).

Additionally, he'll also know this is a development loan with no buy option. He's expecting and expected to come back.

True, but he looks to me like someone who could throw a mega strop trying to get his own way :lolol:

I think he’ll bloody love living and playing in Seville

Harsh, I know, to just go on appearance without knowing him at all and without him having actually done anything wrong!

What does that say for people not on instagram?
Just him travelling to Spain. There also seemed to be a massive press following at the airport when he landed !!! The little gingers ego is gonna be through the roof.

His bird was definitely impressed.
