Yeah I don't mind the song or the lyrics but I'm pretty done hearing it eight times a day just because I happen to like football.

Maybe if you came to a game at the Amex and saw us win you might change your mind, watching the 20,000 left in the stadium at the final whistle singing along.

What I don't get, is that song, without looking it up, was early 90s. I'm pretty sure it was on some mix albums I had

Then it went away for, what 25 years. Until Northern Ireland fans found it fitted quite well then it caught on again. That's a long time. The rights holders probably can't believe their luck

That time of not having it inflicted at every sporting event, I now remember quite fondly.

I always want to be sniffy about it, but then when we win and you see the kids pogoing to it in the stadium at the end with unbridled joy on their faces it's impossible not to get into it in the moment.

I've got much bigger problems with the generic dirge they play at the start - sweet caroline and hey jude and all that. It's like every premier league team have bought the joint rights to Costa Del Sol Nightz Karaoke CD from the 90s.
