What's that all about?
Hasn't got a British passport. I think she also wanted to represent her native Cameroon but homosexuality is illegal in Cameroon so couldn't get representation for them either.

Canada Women through to the football Quarter Finals despite the 6 point deduction for DRONEGATE.

I guess they'd already got enough data.

Especially the Seine, in which swimming was banned for 100 years until they spent €1.4b trying to clean it up sufficiently for the triathlons and open water swimming events.
I still wonder if Inspector Javert is down there somewhere.

I was once arrested on the banks but jumped into the river to escape. I was caught though.

Guilty but in Seine.

Best atmosphere at an Olympics ever?? The BBC swimming commentators are agog at how sensational atmosphere is.

France absolutely knocking it out of the park,we catch up and they surge away again.
Obviously you’ve not been watching the fencing when anyone French has been on the piste.

Compare these Olympians with the troublemakers outside Downing Street this evening.
I appreciate what you're trying to say and I don't disagree, but given the choice, I'd rather not. Not everything in life has to relate to everything else.

At the risk of appearing pollyannaish, let's try and avoid divisive stuff on this thread - it gives me and I'm sure plenty of others daily joy.

It's a place to recognize and admire outstanding performances, celebrate GB medals in real time, share results and express opinions around them.

And if truth be told, we could probably all benefit with some unifying feel-good at the moment.

This with bells on it.

Keep the point scoring and lunacy to the 500 other threads

The 20km walk on Eurosport2 now, always a highlight of every Olympics. Sad to see a number of red cards given however.

I'm becoming addicted to the archery. Tense and exciting. Bryony Pitman from Shoreham, has just won her first match 6-2, finishing with three 10s, and a bpm of 85. Which is ridiculous. :ninja:

Are they done yet? Did the Swede win?
