I think loaning out Facu Goodnight would be reasonable for a season, but probably better to loan him to La Liga. We definitely shouldn't be looking to sell him.

Better centrally, thought he did ok last year, depends who he’s competing against positionally, as to whether he’ll start.
Certainly wouldn’t loan out.

I'm not sure we have a glut of talented midfielders, and there's the potential for what we do have being depleted by sales of Gross and Gilmour. What we do have is a glut of talented wingers/wide forwards. I'll just repeat what I said a page or so back: I think Facundo could work very well in FH's CM duo (which is different from and advance of RDZ's CM duo). For all these reasons, I'm not keen on this happening but if the club, FH and FB think it's for the best, then it probably is.

Agree with this. I'm not sure what his biggest fans are seeing but he's looked pretty limited to me. Not in potential, but in output. To be fair to him, he's never a winger while I've got a hole in my arse, but he hasn't developed the nous or smarts to cut it as an 8 or 10 yet.
One thing I've been most impressed about him is his ability to get stuck in. Of all the south Americans he's the most physically robust and likely to not get bustled off the ball. I think with these attributes he could go on to be great if he figures out how to play 8/10 or he could go on to be a bit average of he doesn't get the chance to push on now.
In that sense a loan, where he could develop and boss a league makes a lot of sense. Wouldn't mind if he stayed but hard to see him not being 3rd or 4th pick.
I know it's a naff and possibly unfair observation but he also seems to carry a bit of teenage puppy fat. I can't get over seeing him in his flip flops in the hove tesco buying several pipes of pringles and chocolate ice cream and looking a bit forlorn at the end of last season, combined with him stating he had serious flirtations with depression after moving to the UK and dealing with the weather etc and wonder weather a loan or two muhht help him develop his sensitive nature. We all develop at different rates. Compare him with the balls out, chin up, you need me more than I need you, impudent, arrogance of Enciso and I do wonder whether a loan might be really useful.
Sensitivity is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of either. Both Salah and De Bruyne didn't really come good properly until their early 20s and both stated that they felt overwhelmed at times as yoofs

I despair of fans who refuse to/can’t see the potential and want him shipped out when he has been played out of position so often.
This. Sounds completely alien to me that we would agree on a fee with Feyenoord, and also unlikely the player would want to move to the Eredivisie permanently after gathering a lot of Premier League football. Would be a big step backwards. A loan is maybe not out of the question, but Feyenoord buying him... nah.

I'm bemused by suggestions that Facu lacks physicality. He looked tough, feisty, strong and really got stuck in last season. Clearly a talent and not a winger by any means, more an 8 or 10. If the club thinks a loan is appropriate, who am I to argue, but I'd be so disappointed if a loan to buy. I really think he will be a star.

Bags of potential but needs regular football at his age and won’t be getting that here with the way the squad is shaping up. Can see why he is being linked with a move to get more games

Agree - I don’t rate him as highly as yourself, as often goes missing, but is a good player nonetheless, and is an important squad member…
