I may be old fashioned here, every youngster in football has to wait for a first team chance and then grab that opportunity and perform.
Personally the last player I would want around my first team group is a stroppy youngster who thinks he deserves a chance. I would bin him straight back the the 21’s.
I hope Bart isn’t suffering from an acute bout of “WantsToGoToManUtditis”

So you think the club is faking Barts injury for six weeks so that United won't buy him? Or am I reading it wrong? Because that is a completely improbable scenario.

What is a Post-Shot Expected Goal as opposed to just your bog standard xG?
All these obscure x stats go straight over my head.
I guess you could say position/trajectory of the shot rather than the position of the player shooting. Generally its a way to measure goalie quality.
Logically, post-shot expected goals would mean whether you expect the ball to go in the net after you've already seen it not go in the net.
I assume it's not quite that blisteringly stupid.
It’s kind of the reverse of Xg……..so Bart was ‘expected’ to concede 2.4 goals from the shots he faced (Arsenal had an xg of 2.42).
I’d assumed it’s exactly what it says - the expected goals (immediately) after the ball leaves the attacking player’s foot.
For example, a ball coming across the six yard box to the feet of an unmarked Neal Maupay might have an xG of say 0.5.
If however he balloons the ball 20 yards over the bar, the chance of a goal has gone. The xG has immediately dropped to 0.0, and it stands to reason that you would not factor that chance into a measure of the goalkeeper’s performance.

Hang on though, what about shots off target? You can't attribute anything to the keeper if the strikers keep missing?
